Upon Governor Palin’s arrival Israelis will be celebrating the festivities of Purim.

Purim is the day Jews celebrate the story of Esther. It’s a very festive day. Kids dress up and food gifts are distributed to family and friends. People are very joyous and its common to see lots of singing and dancing in the streets. It’s customary to drink lots of wine on Purim. It is also a day of giving a lot of money to charity.

Everywhere in the world, including most of Israel, Purim began at sundown on Saturday night and ends after sundown on Sunday night.

In Jerusalem however, Purim takes place one day later and begins at sundown Sunday and ends after sundown Monday.

Governor Palin will join Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for dinner in Jerusalem on Monday evening; The Purim dinner!

Well, we know that there are other PDSers on FR. I’m just happy that the king of all PDSers is gone. His footprint on this website was waaaaay oversized.

I own 3 Sarah Palin t-shirts to prove I am :)

Dang, you're ahead of me. I've got a couple of Sarah buttons, but that's about it. It's probably about time I found a Sarah 2012 sticker for my truck.

Wow! What a powerful story.

I also believe that Sarah is the Esther of our time. I feel that conviction right down to my bones.

Well written headline that explains a truth by reporting an unrelated fact.

Nonsense. This is an intentionally mis-leading headline, but deep down inside you knew that already.

Sarah is our Esther.

I disagree. Sarah is our SARAH. She is here NOW, and God uses whom He chooses. There aren't stand-ins in God's army. We all have a role, but God raises leaders, and He shines the light.

She is squarely in the light and those with "discernment" see His Hand. Pray without ceasing!

Some time ago, maybe back in 2008 a poster here gave the definition for "concern trolls" and "eeyores". They went on to relate that they used to work in a PR boutique using those techniques to infiltrate blogs and forums to discourage users. That post was quite an education for me.

I recently complained to JimRob about 'doom and gloomers' invading the forum. It's my view that most of them are simply under the sway of paid operatives who spread a non-stop message of doubt and division here.

Lord help them if JimRob ever hands me a zot gun. I used to mod at a political forum some years back, and regularly bounced those types out of the house. I don't have near the degree of forbearance as the mods around here do.

I am a little worried about the man. This site has driven me over the deep end once or twice, but Pissant has been spending a lot of time here. Now that he is not allowed here I hope he is okay.

How can you possibly pity a vile degenerate like pissant? I may have given him the benefit of the doubt two years ago, but since then, he's proven beyond a shadow of doubt that he deserves no sympathy or understanding.

The man is an enemy of the light, and deserves nothing but scorn.

Palin was compared to the T-word today.

Once again, your list is devoid of the numerous comparisons of Palin made by PDS'ers.

Palin is like Reagan in that both are hated by the “Plaid pants Republicans”. Reagan wanted to rock the boat and go head to head with the democrats. Palin wants to do the same.

Which is precisely why Palin is getting the Reagan treatment from the leftstream media, Democrats, libs of all stripes, and the RINO establishment. They've all known since Aug 29th 2008 that she is the greatest threat to The Established Order they've seen since Reagan.

Even worse for the left; Sarah has a couple of things that Reagan didn't have, first of which is an activist right, that is motivated, organized, vocal, and pushing hard against the left. Secondly, Sarah has the tools of the new media, which are allowing her to bypass the establishment press, and to speak directly to the people.

I believe that the stars have swung back into the same alignment they were in in 1979, when Reagan challenged Carter for the White House. The parallels are eerily similar, and I believe that we're about to witness the same result.

Awww...I liked Pissant-despite his Sarah bashing. He was an intelligent man who posted a lot of good stuff.

The few intelligent things he said or posted were far outweighed by his hundreds of vulgar comments, and by the demoralization and division he created here. The man is a merchant of chaos, and hasn't rightfully belonged here in years.

He was evil - either by design or by default, but evil just the same.

Some serious PDS going on in this thread. Pissant Derangement Syndrome. I’d say over 2/3 of the posts in this thread are about him.

Please... We're all just getting the moron out of our systems. He was a blight - a boil that incessantly irritated, and which badly needed lancing.

What you're reading is a collective sigh of relief.

Pissant, if you’re reading this; sorry about what happened.
I’ll miss you.
Take care.

Thanks for the link to that unique moment in FR history. I read the whole thread. Folks were so energized and elated by Sarah coming onto the Republican ticket.

Watch that same thing happen when she announces her bid for the White House, only this time, it’s gonna be a no-holds-barred level of enthusiasm like we’ve never seen.

Seriously.

LOL You really ought to go read the post that got pissant banned if you're feeling so sorry for him. That post is about as vile as they come, but was actually fairly typical of the sort of things he said about Sarah.

Oh, isn’t this the surprise. You appear to have strong feelings about potential 2012 Republican Presidential candidates, so surely you have a favorite. Who might that be?

“Sarah is our SARAH. She is here NOW, and God uses whom He chooses.”

Agreed - but I think we all know what we mean when someone says something like “Sarah is our Esther”, or “Palin is our Reagan”. I know that I draw inspiration for my own self based on earlier heros, and their stories and lives can give some examples for me. And can look for those ideals in others.

But one bad thing of bringing up these comparisons is the “Well, Reagan sure wouldn’t have said that, signed that bill, etc.” And of course not, because as you said so well “Sarah is Sarah”. (From her first book, it sounds like her folks might have said that a lot too!)
