Palin has path to win, Republican warns (Don't you love that title?)
CNN ^ | March 14, 2011 | Alexander Mooney

Prominent New Hampshire Republican Judd Gregg says that Sarah Palin just might have a clearer path to the Republican presidential nomination next year than commonly understood – an event he warns would lead to President Obama's clear reelection.

Gregg, the former senator and governor of the Granite State, says the muddled GOP presidential field means it's more likely than ever there won't be a clear consensus candidate before the party's nominating convention in August of 2012. If that happens, says Gregg, Palin and her army of supporters might have the upper hand when it comes to settling on a presidential candidate.

"A candidate who runs second or third in a great many primaries could go into the convention with a sizable block of delegates," writes Gregg in an Op-Ed in The Hill newspaper Monday. "Who would this favor? Does Sarah Palin come to mind? Although she is not viewed by most as strong enough to win, she is viewed by many as a person worth voting for to make a statement."

While it's unlikely Palin (should she run) would win that many primary contests, placing second or third might be enough - especially this time around when delegates will be awarded a proportionate basis instead of the winner-take-all system that has previously been the rule in Republican primaries....

The nomination is Palin’s to have if she wants it. Thoughtful, articulate on the issues, and presidential - if she can project those on the road it’s hers.

Absent Schmuckabee entering the race, Romney and Pawlenty are her serious opposition. Barbour and Cain are dark horses. Daniels, Gingrich, and others slim-to-noners. I haven’t decided yet if Bachmann is a stalking horse or not, but don’t underestimate her.

If she is, Bachmann could knock Pawlenty, Romney, and Schmuckabee out in Iowa. Palin doesn’t have to win Iowa, just place ahead of P, R, and S. Myth will probably win NH, but if you can water down that victory, all the better. If Pawlenty can’t get mojo ahead of Sarah by NH I think he’s done. I believe he’ll gamble it all on Iowa.

I think where Sarah should put a decent portion of her chips is in SC. Barbour might help her there, and if Schmuckabee doesn’t jump in and T-Paw is weak coming out of IA and NH, it becomes a Sarah/Mitt battle real quick with a Barbour/Gingrich/Bachmann/Cain pack, of which I see no more than one breaking out of. Sarah could really get her mojo in SC.

Personally if I were Sarah I’d sow more seeds even farther down the line, especially in the Midwest, South, and parts of the West where Myth isn’t as strong. The West could be a real pain in the arse for Sarah and keep Myth in longer than he should. The Schmuck will be also if he stays in, however he might help to knock the Myth out, especially in the West.

Sarah needs to get to the front of the pack by SC. The worst scenario here is no clear frontrunners by SC. If not then we are in for a long fight. Don’t put it past Sarah to be a team player either, if she sees another good conservative in the lead, don’t be surprised if she supports that over Myth or Schmuck or Daniels getting it.

The GOP ruling class believes they are still in charge, don't they?

Unfortunately they still are, notice how the speaker of the House is allowing the hidden funding for Obama care to continue being spent.

We have been had, unless those Tea Party Patriots stage a mutiny against the leadership. Michelle can't do it by herself.

You know what, guys, I think she can win, and I don’t think that’s a bad thing, because I also think she can beat Teh Awesome. If you really think you can do better, step up, the sooner the better, or stop whining.

I think it was P.J. O’Rourke who observed that weak, dweeby men go into politics so they can pick up women. Real men can get women even if they’re electricians or mechanics or grocery-store department managers.

What a gutless, pussy Romney is,
hiding behind the 'apron strings',
cowering and crying under rocks,
while using and paying everyone else to attack Gov. Palin.

Sen. Judd Gregg: "America needs Mitt Romney's leadership
What I have found is that Mitt Romney
is the leader we need in Washington.
"

Judd Gregg Endorses Romney
"(Fascist, taxaholic, and Truther) Mitt Romney embodies my New Hampshire's values"

This year, the conservative intelligentsia doesn’t just tend to dislike Palin — many fear that her rise would represent the triumph of an intellectually empty brand of populism and the death of ideas as an engine of the right.

That's because they still are. Getting them out is going to take a sustained long term effort.

Hahahaha! Those guys are journ-o-listers. The “conservatives” they cite are Democrats, RINOs, CINOs, token conservatives and throwbacks. If they wanted to goad Governor Sarah Palin into running for president, I don’t know how they could’ve done a better job!

Yes, get her done, Sarah.

And, Gregg, you’d better get on board or you’ll be standing at the station when the train pulls away.

some political guru said something in a recent interview whoever runs in this next election will lose against Obama.
If they are relatively unknown it will help set them up to win the 2016.
If however it is someone who has already run, it would be their death because they wouldn’t be able to win after a third try.

I dont see how they think Obama is a shoe in to begin with.
if the economy is still dumping he is screwed.

Members of the Republican ruling class raise their dense little heads again. They don't get it. We must explain it to them in the primaries next year.

Sarah Palin is the one Republican candidate I would be excited about, to the extent that I'd volunteer my time, which I've never done before, and I'd even take on extra work so I could contribute more to her campaign. Millions feel like me, and the RINO ruling class has no idea.

Obama is so incredibly inept, anyone can defeat him.
Simple everyday folks who are not politicly astute understand
his anti-American leanings.
He has lost middle America.

THAT IS WHY IT IS TIME TO SHUT THE GOVERNMENT DOWN AND GET OUR MONEY BACK MR. SPEAKER! YOU KNOW THE $105,500,000,000 CONCEALED IN THE JOHN BOEHNER/BARACK OBAMA DEATH TO AMERICA HEALTHCARE BILL!

VOTE: PALIN/ WEST CRUSH THE LEFT !
