Posted on 03/12/2011 11:05:09 PM PST by Frantzie
The world's most (in)famous hacker group - Anonymous - known for effectively shutting down their hacking nemesis security firm (with clients such as Morgan Stanley and, unfortunately for them, Bank of America)- HBGary, advocating the cause of Wikileaks, and the threat made by one of its members that evidence of fraud by Bank of America will be released on Monday, has just launched communication #1 in its Operation "Empire State Rebellion."
The goal - engage in "a relentless campaign of non-violent, peaceful, civil disobedience" until Ben Bernanke steps down and the "Primary Dealers within the Federal Reserve banking system be broken up and held accountable for rigging markets and destroying the global economy effective immediately."

The New York branch of the Fed is very powerful and #2 in command after the Washington DC Federal Reserve. Wikipedia explains why. William Dudley runs it and guess what. He worked at Goldman Sachs for 20 years. This Dudley guy was the one who said to a crowd that inflation was low. One example he had was that the new iPad2 has more features but at the same price. The crowd was angry and felt insulted
The president of the New York Federal Reserve Bank doesn’t normally face a raucous crowd.
But in Queens, New York, on Friday, William Dudley was bombarded with questions about food inflation, and his attempt to put rising commodity prices into a broader economic context only made things worse.
“When was the last time, sir, that you went grocery shopping?” one audience member asked.
Dudley tried to explain how the Fed sees things: Yes, food prices may be rising, but at the same time, other prices are declining. The Fed looks at core inflation, which strips out volatile food and energy costs, to get a better sense of where inflation may actually be heading.
So, Dudley sought an everyday example of a price that is falling.
“Today you can buy an iPad 2 that costs the same as an iPad 1 that is twice as powerful,” he said referring to Apple Inc’s (AAPL.O) latest handheld tablet computer hitting stories on Friday.
“You have to look at the prices of all things,” he said.
This prompted guffaws and widespread murmuring from the audience, with one audience member calling the comment “tone deaf.”
“I can’t eat an iPad,” another quipped.
I just learned the other day that Herman Cain was a Federal Reserve board member in Kansas City.
Born Herman Cain, December 13, 1945, in Memphis, TN; son of Luther and Lenora Cain; married Gloria Cain; children: Melanie and Vincent.
Education: Morehouse College, Atlanta, GA, B.S., 1967; Purdue University, Lafayette, IN, M.A., computer science, 1971.
Memberships: Chairman, Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, 1992; president, National Restaurant Association, 1994-95; board member, Creighton University, 1989-; board member, Super Valu, Inc., 1990-; board member, Utilicorp United Inc., 1992-; board member, Whirlpool Corp., 1992; member, Economic Growth and Tax Reform Commission established by Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole.
Nah, we in power at the Federal government don’t see any inflation...maybe that is because we are paid so much that we don’t care about you slobs in fly-over land having to pay 30%-40% more for food. We don’t have to buy groceries like you do because we only eat at the finest Capitol Hill restaurants for free, either on our government expense accounts or the those of the lobbyists!
These same hackers support Wikileaks, Julian Assange (sp?), and Private Manning. They have threatened to hack computer systems on the base where Manning is being held.
The folks over at DemocraticUnderground are big fans of this hacking group.
They better be careful.
When the powers that be REALLY feel threatened, they take you out.
That’s an eye-opening revelation about Cain. Which follows the principle..”if it’s too good to be true, something stinks underneath”.
Reminds me of Scott Brown hysteria a year ago.
These are the same twits who break into private email accounts such as Palin’s and who adore Bradley Manning for leaking classified information because of his selfishness and his anger at US military prohibitions on openly gay behavior. seems they have a corruption problem of their own.
Thanks for the info.
Or the Chris Christie (gun-grabber, pro-Mosque) nonsense this year...
I wonder they’re the group who hacked into the climate labs and got us the phoney lying statistics on global warming. I’ll never forget those guys and when I remember say a prayer for them.
Anonymous are a double-edged sword...
Why would the Fed want to hurt the U.S. economy ?
The more money people earn and the wealthier everyone becomes, the more money banks can earn.
Every U.S. business wants U.S. citizens to acquire more wealth, unless the industry they are in has, as it’s exclusive customer base, poor people. Like, for example, a check-cashing service. Once people get a bank account, they don’t need the expensive ripoff of a check-cashing service.
Banks in wealthy towns have a wealty customer base and can make a lot more profit. If everyone is broke and out of work, a bank is out of customers.
Because of the way the info was released it is apparently highly likely the climate data was an inside job.
Frantzie, there’s nothing admirable about anarchy.
I couldn’t get online with BofA almost all day a few days ago. This little cutesy group could cause a devastating financial crisis.
We may not like what some of our institutions are doing, but this IS NOT the way to go about fixing it.
Between Wikileaks and these nuts, we’ve got a real cyber war going on here. Let’s not gift them with kudos.
You, your family, your acquaintances, your community, your state, and your nation could stand to be hurt considerably by this.
If they got it all, do you think they’d ever get more?
Destroying the golden goose is not their goal.
The good news is there is a light light shining on those in power or those that are seeking power. This ‘Anon’ sounds a lot like the typical lefty sojourners I wonder if like the lame comedians they never attack any leftist?
Well, maybe. Who is to replace him?
“the Federal Reserve banking system be broken up and held accountable for rigging markets and destroying the global economy effective immediately.””
- rigging markets and destroying the global economy and causing two world wars, recessions and one major depression.
What if they already accidentally killed the golden goose, and are trying to hide the stench of the decaying corpse from the rubes & the peasants? ;-)
Exactly. These guys think they’re good. I’m betting the NSA thinks they’re not. These guys can be found and killed and it all could look like an accident. In fact killing the main dude would probably decapitate the organization.
These kinds of topics remind me of the first track on the first King Crimson album.
Love the tagline!
Find a new bank then. BofA are crooks, pro-illegal and totally corrupt. Find a smaller local or regional bank. Me, my family, etc etc have been harmed by what the Fed, hedge fund friend of hussein et al have done.
FR is filled with a lot of dreamers who think this in 1978=79 with Carter. It is not. The dollar is gonna go, the country is going to be bankrupted etc etc. Keep watching Obama TV and living in a dream world. The Fed, IMF, IBMS, World Bank have made you and your family serfs. You have no clue what is going on.
Better no Federal Reserve aka a private cabal of banks especially european banks. Rand and Ron Paul have it right on the criminal Fed.
Herman Cain was. It means he has been compromised and just another “elite.” The Fed is not part of the Treasury. It is owned by European banks and primary dealer banks in the US. He is one of them. Next.
If Herman Cain was a Fed member then he is part of the team like Volcker who went on to run the World Bank. People need to open their eyes and turn off Obama TV as Fox Al Waleed is no better.
“Oh but granny loves the old Jimmy Cagney films on TCM, oh and the Randolph Scott movies with his boyfriend Cary Grant and those commies Edward G. Robinson and Lucille Ball plus Hank Fonda.” Fonda was a commie like his daughter.
Well, then I’d say a lot of people here were/are right.
Frantzie, I’m not going to play musical banks. As soon as I would move to another bank, it would be found to have done something and I’d be moving again. I’m not going to do that with my bank account. I have a 25 year relationship with BofA, and I’m not going anywhere.
As for backing people who are committing felonies, don’t count me in.
These folks are compromising banks sensitive electronic systems, and you seem to think that is admirable. Correct me if I’m wrong.
If they can compromise one secured area at the bank, what keeps them from compromising another? And if they can to it at one bank, they can do it to any bank you’re a member of also.
Why would you possibly think this was a good idea? If these accounts are compromised, it wouldn’t just take down BofA. It would take down the whole system. That would be the end of electronic banking.
This isn’t a wink and a nod Robin Hood type of affair here. There’s a lot more at stake than that. And if you’re asking me to study up, and you approve of this stuff, I’m at a loss to think of a reason why you shouldn’t.
