The big deal, according to the libs, is that “Republicans want to cut funding for breast cancer screenings and prenatal care” (actual headline from a progressive website). Unless PP has a monopoly on prenatal care and breast cancer screenings that I don’t know about, that headline is a slick piece of work. It draws attention away from PP’s main business and makes PP sound like your nice friendly community women’s hospital. As for low-income women I thought Obama’s health-care plan was supposed to make abortion more affordable. Or has The One let them down again?
I have to agree. Even most people that don't care about abortion would find Obama to be an obsessive sicko if he were to do this. Most people now realize that, morality of abortion aside, PP is a corrupt organization. He defends it at his peril

Can’t think of a better issue on which conservatives should take a stand!
If PP had just stuck to abortion, I wouldn’t have cared. If PP had stuck to abortion and comprehensive sex ed, I might’ve cared, depending on how aggressively they pushed the sex-positive agenda. But when PP tried to overturn laws requiring HIV-positive people to inform their sexual partners of their status, endangering public health and safety so that HIV-positive people wouldn’t feel “stigmatized”, that was the last straw for me. It probably wouldn’t have been too popular even among liberals, judging from the lack of coverage liberal websites gave to PP’s opposition to the HIV laws. So thank you, FR, for opening my eyes to what an extremist slimeball organization PP really is.

I don’t understand how so many, including congress critters, miss this point.
The house should write a budget and fund only enough to run the federal courts, the military and the Post Office.
Period.
Then tell Obummer, the Marxist now posing as a Fascist, “If you want anything else, ask for it one by one and we will think about it.”
“you want money for the EPA?” “OK, here is 25% of what you got last year.”

Want money for the Education Department? Fine. Here is enough to pay the printer to print all of the pink slips and enough to give everyone 2 weeks severance pay.
That would change his attitude in a hurry.
If PP wants to stop providing abortions.....
They don’t. They just want to downplay the abortion business they do because they hope to dupe the average American into sympathizing with them. They will give up their anti-abstinence, anti- Christian morality when h311 freezes over :(
Abortion is PP’s reason for existing. It is their money-maker. We have been forced by this government to provide the funds to kill innocent humans. Unconscionable.
SHUT the government down over planned parenthood .. let the media report it that obama wants abortions or no budget.
