Mitt Romney was faced yet again on Monday with a political nightmare should he choose to run for president: A praiseworthy shout-out from the White House on health care.
Speaking to governors of both parties, President Obama said that Romney, a former Massachusetts governor who is a prospective 2012 candidate, actually had a decent idea about addressing the countrys health care system.
I know that many of you have asked for flexibility for your states under this law, Obama said at the White House. In fact, I agree with Mitt Romney, who recently said hes proud of what he accomplished on health care in Massachusetts, [that] he supports giving states the power to determine their own health care solutions.

Romney is popular with the media because Romney is easily destroyed. It was this way with McCain. These men appeal (slightly) to Democrats but not at all with the Republican base. When the election comes, the Democrat voters vote for the Democrat, and the Republican base stays home.
Romney is a "useful" to the Left. That's why they like him.
To: FrankR
And if he couldn’t beat him before, surely he’ll be able to now with the endorsement by “The Won”.

Yep. They will incrementally puff Romney as ‘centrist’, ‘pragmatic’, and ‘someone we can work with to move Amerika forward’.
Then they will utterly bug stomp him in 2012, in the unlikely event that he is the GOP nominee.

Mitt is Obama lite. Why would anyone vote for the lite version when they can get the real thing? Obama knows and it counting on this. Whenever a liberal Republican runs against a liberal Democrat the Dem always wins.
To: ColdOne
Let’s NOT - I repeat - NOT be fooled a second time. The Dems would love for the Republican candidate to be Romney. He’s a taller version of McCain (and not as many marbles loose).
The Dems and drive-bys nominated McCain as our candidate in ‘08 and they will try to do it again.
Anybody, I mean anybody, but Romney
To: ColdOne
If he’s as good choosing which football team wins then Romney has no chance. But then, maybe that’s Barry’s strategy.

No credibility fits about 80% of all politicians and the Mitt and the Obozo are tied for the top spot. Then Reid, Pelossi, Frank, Dodd, Schumer, Horyer........... comes to mind and that top spot gets awfully crowded
To: ColdOne
Was there a wink attached to that nod?
Romney just got screwed.
