"Hundreds" of off-duty police officers are marching in support of the protesters. Presumably armed. See article

The cops need to be out catching criminals instead of supporting these thieves.

This is why the unions must be stopped.

What should happen is that Police and Fire get included in the cuts.

It sounds like intimidation if they are armed. Not a good sign for any counter protesters.

Now you know why there have been no arrests of Union protestors.

Police unions showing solidarity.

Okay, it is now time for the Gov to call out the National Guard. How can you have a civil society when armed police turn on the citizens?

How about photographing these low-life cops marching with their marxist brethren for later identification.

How many National Guardsmen will themselves by union members, or will see their friends and relatives on the other side of the picket lines?

They lost at the ballot box and are injecting mob rule, pretending that we have some obligation to negotiate with the mobs.
We don’t!

The Guv should make the point that plainly.

“Cooler heads prevailed,” said Jim Palmer, the executive director of the 11,000-member Wisconsin Professional Police Association. “They had said they were going to clear the place out, and then they thought the better of it. Now it’s clear that law enforcement professionals are running the show.”

That is an excellent question, union loyalty or the service oath?

Funny you should say that. Many of my son's buddies are cops and here in Florida our new governor just cut their pensions in half. They are furious- my son got into a discussion with them about it over a few beers this weekend. They kept saying "we're public servants" and my son agreed and said they should be the last to get cuts etc. The discussion kept going back and forth..with reminders about high unemployment and how the private sector has had layoffs, cutbacks in benefits etc..finally my son said "THERE ISN'T ANY MONEY!!!" That was the argument that finally got through to them.

I honestly don't think a lot of people understand how economics work or what a budget is..

Gee, I wonder what real, everyday criminals might be thinking while the police are distracted with protesting???

In a way you can understand the cops’ frustration. Every day they’re out dealing with low life thugs and they see the money being handed out to non-productive sectors in our society.

Why cut firefighters and cops and not cut welfare, foodstamps, housing, cars (including gas cards, AAA and insurance) and cell phones for the parasites?
