A “pirate czar”? I nominate the guy who plays the pirate in ‘Spongebob Square Pants”. More qualified than Adm. Mullens, the Meek.

“Shouldn’t we try a presidential bow first to keep the peace?”

If they’re going to mount a rescue operation you would think they’d keep their mouths shut about it.

The middle of the Indian Ocean is a very long way from anywhere.

Their capture only shows the audacity and capability of the pirate state.

I suppose the UN is too busy condemning Israel or raping civilians in Africa to actually take on the pirates.

But first barryo will have to issue an international apology.

You get a free yacht when you sign on as a missionary? Kewl!

Maybe you get tax breaks for handing out bibles at each port.

“U.S. military officials say they’re prepared to rescue four American...”

Nothing like telegraphing your punch.

Just do it. If I’m held hostage, I don’t need greeting cards to my captors that the Navy SEALS are coming to rescue me.

Surprise me - especially my captors. Thank you.

Success of this rescue plan will depend entirely on the missionaries position!

The real question is why would 4 Americans put themself’s in the middle of Pirate Lane? What idiots would do that?

That’s a legitimate question. While these pirates deserve to be squashed, civilians who naively sail in that area knowing the danger, should kick in to cover the costs of a subsequent rescue. There needs to be some common sense.

"You get a free yacht when you sign on as a missionary? Kewl!"

You do not have to take a vow of poverty to be a Christian or to be a missionary.

Well, if the worse happens, they will be ready.

Good answer. Unfortunately, the worst happened. They can be considered martyrs, full of joy and zeal for the Lord. God bless their souls.

I don’t think the missionaries are on yachts.

In case you didn't know, "yacht" is a fancy word for sailboat.

Apparently all 4 perished...Obama was a “Day Late...and a Dollar Short” again (probably due to him “telegraphing” his “plan”):

****What do you bet they are paying for their long vacation by donations.****

Here is quote from a thorough CBS News article:

Adam, in his mid-60s, had been an associate producer in Hollywood when he turned in a spiritual direction and enrolled in the seminary a decade ago, said Robert K. Johnston, a professor at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena and a friend of Adam's.

"He decided he could take his pension, and he wanted to serve God and humankind," he said.
