I don't believe Obama is a Muslim
2/18/2011 | Self

Posted on 02/18/2011 10:08:15 AM PST by TheThinker

I used to believe Obama was a Muslim. I also believed he overtly meant America harm as well as the Israelis. I didn't believe these things for bigoted reasons. I just worry about the safety of my country which ensures the safety of people of all races and ensures any hope for peace for future generations.

The real problem is that Obama offers little in area of transparency. However, to be intellectually honest, I don't have a shred of proof that Obama is currently a practicing Muslim and I don't wish to spread that idea. I don't have any proof that he deliberately wants to harm the United States either. It's just frusrating to see America is such a terrible state, saddled with a leader unwilling to listen and truly engage his countrymen, while the boat we are sitting in takes in more water and there are people scooping water into the boat.

I do know for sure that I don't wish any harm to be done to Obama and with the Gabriel Giffords shooting, Democrats are rightly worried that the charged political speech might possibly encourage more violence. Granted, I think shootings from the right side of the spectrum are not likely but that doesn't mean others won't be inspired. When she gets back on her feet, she'll have a lot to say about the subject so I think it's time to tone it down, to self-regulate what we say.

Sarah Palin is right when she says that the Muslim issue is annoying and distracting. One thing that is important to America's safety is unity. Unity is important as long as it is based on the idea to promote the freedom and advancement of the individual rather than increasing the power of the federal government over the individual. The type of unity we need seems nowhere in sight.

Americans simply aren't on the same page because too many Americans don't have even a basic grasp of our history and the true moral worth of their country, which compared to other countries is exceptional. What too many forget is that America has had greater challenges than other countries in trying to reconcile its ideals with its actions.

Although I don't believe Obama's policies are intentionally destructive, I do believe they are reckless and destructive nonetheless. But Obama really doesn't diverge that much from other liberal politicians on the issues. We have been on the same path for some time and that path is going downhill. We have to reverse ourselves on spending. There's only so much wealth created and to allow government to regulate that wealth is a recipe for disaster. We have to work to regain our sovereignty. It's back to basics.

The political atmosphere is reaching a fever pitch in my opinion. If some crazy decides try to harm the president, there will be an upheaval in this country. We don't need it. I say we should go after Obama's policies with all the energy used to attack him personally, because I think Obama's safety and America's safety are intertwined.

With the same amount of proof (none), my opinion is...He is personally agnostic, but is embracing Christianity for political and/or family reasons.

I also believe he is his mother's son. She was emotionally aloof and had a “borderless” national identity. And he admired her. He isn't attached to any national culture and therefore can only relate to Americans as a theoretical intellectual abstract exercise.

Great. But first you gotta address the 50 ton elephant in the middle of the room. And until Palin, Congress,, SCOTUS, and all 50 states begin to speak about the Fraudster - nothing else will get done.

It needs to be addressed, but NOT by any of the conservative candidates. The candidates need to focus on the "important" issues, just as they are doing.

Congress, SCOTUS, the media, and the active governors and state legislators, need to actively close the gap.

For candidates, it is bait in a political death trap.

Obama may or may not be a Muslim, but one thing for certain, he is the worst U.S. President ever. He is a disaster and a destroyer of America.

I personally don’t care whether Obama prays to Allah or to Mr. Ed—as long as his religious beliefs do not form the basis for his policy decisions.

I agree with you.

Obama went to Rev. Wright’s America hating black nationalist church for 20 years, which, in my opinion, actually makes him worst than a Muslim.

Obama wasn’t in a mosque kneeling and bowing for Allah; he was God damning America in “church” with Rev. Wright.

Lastly, what makes Obama so despicable is not his religion, but his ideological allegiance with Marxism-Leninism and his hatred for the United States and everything it stands for.

Barack Obama has more allegiance to illegals from Mexico than he does to Islam, which makes him a traitorous liberal, not a Muslim.

Even now apparently there are signs being held up in Wisconsin with the governor in cross hairs. The Left attacks moral God-fearing people with their own sense of rightness, just like an atheist who attacks a Christian and then says "What? Why do you not turn the other cheek! I'm supposed to learn how to be a Christian from your behavior. You're not acting like a Christian!"

The whole idea is to get you off balance why they carry on as usual with their evil tactics

Oh, I so agree! (Heavy sarcasm here)

After all, the conservative candidates have been ignoring the elephant I've spoken of since Obama was sworn into office. And look at how well that's worked out. And although the Repubs did OK in the mid-terms, it looks clear that Obama will waltz into a second term as Palin et al keep their mouths shut.

And you know why the Repubs did OK in the midterms? Because of Tea Party birthers. So unless and until Palin, Bachmann, Boehner, and others address the birther issue - Obama is a lock in 2012.

In this case I actually agree with Bill Maher...he’s probably more of an atheist.. aka secular humanist. Any religiosity on his part is just window dressing.

You seem confused or disconnected as to facts(which are known and very easily seen) and proof( which depends on personal views individually or courts). When Obama says the sounds of Muslem prayer reaches his soul and putting this with his known childhood and adult Muslem associates and corresponding actions I reason that he retains Muslem spirit. Proof for you of such is not established. I think of walking through the woods and hearing that clear warning of a rattle. Experience tells me the chances are there is a rattelsnake nearby. It might or might not be proven by sight, but I was better off to go on very cautiously. As to placing total if any reliance on Palin’s concern for a Muslem distraction, my advice to her is to review centuries of history to learn about Muslem distractions. Caliphates are not a new intention.

Obama can fool you because leftist secular humanists are pro-islamist, I guess because they are anti-American too.

Obama always follows Muslim interests and the interests of anti_American Muslims. So it doesn’t matter to me if he is a secret Muslim or just a huge sympathizer...... Of course he is sympathetic to Islam. He spent formative years in Muslim Indonesia and had two Muzzie daddies.

Naah, brocko gets his cake and eats it too on islam. He does everything they purport to be against, taqqiyas about not being “one”, drinks, smokes, doesn’t pray 5x per day, etc; yet he gets to give pluperfect arabic/muslim pronunciations of the lingo and massage muslim feelings worldwide by acting like he’s down for the cause.

I think it’s been proven time and again that, if you try to have it both ways, you get neither.

RINOs need to take note of this too.
