Well, that didn’t take long based on your posting time. I heard about this on an earlier thread and posted the information on how to contact the Clocktower Inn in Rockford. I then called the Inn and talked to a woman in the office, giving my disgust over these people.

She told me they were receiving a lot of calls. I told her (truthfully) that I lived 35 miles south, I was in charge of developing a family reunion this year and was considering Rockford, and the Clocktower Inn specifically, as the destination. And that should the Inn allow these fugitives a place to stay so they could not do their sworn duty, I’d take my business elsewhere.

She said that she knew what was going on, and was going to get the general manager involved. I gave her my contact information in case he wanted to call and verify what I had stated. This was after 4 pm. My wife and I then had to get ready to go to a banquet by 5 pm. I heard on FR before we left that they had left the Clocktower Inn, but it hadn’t been verified. Yes, Chicago would be my bet. It’s a straight shot down I-94.

My phone call to the Clocktower was logged on my cell phone at 3:57 pm.

People should find out where they live and camp out in front of their houses.

The governor needs to make up a series of “Have you seen me?” milk cartons.

Hey ‘Boots...

How about this....take a precedent from Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi:

“The Bill is DEEMED PASSED.”

Since they refuse to show up for work, those that DID show up for work are conducting the People’s Business, and the bill is DEEMED Passed, since no one voted to oppose it.

Do it, and let them whine and cry all they want.

They want to play Third World politics, we can too.

Any & ALL ‘travel expenses’ these ‘lawmakers’ try to charge to the State of Wisconsin for their perfidy should be printed in the newspapers & other sources, such as Free Republic.

"Broken Arrow!!! Brooooken Arrow!!!!"

Or was that an air strike - can't remember. But yes, some carefully-placed artillery shots would certainly make their escape more exciting.

I believe that this suggestion of appointing new officials is wonderful. Clearly these people have quit their job and left the state to avoid doing any work. This by any common law understanding is quitting work. It is recognized as a way to quit work on all jobs. Governor of Wisconsin Replace those missing reps and senators!
