True story. I was assigned to do hand-to-hand training with a female in the Army. She would try to get me in some hold or another and I would simply stand up with her on my back or neck. At any time I could have simply picked her up and thrown her against the wall. Anyway, I wrassled around with her for a little while and the exercise was over. But all she kept saying was, ‘Let's do it again. Come on. One more time...’.
This actually happened.

Absolutely right. If he wrestled hard and hurt one of the girls, he would be a bully that hurt a female. If he didn’t wrestle hard, he would be a slacker. If girls want to wrestle then let them wrestle the other girls from other schools. Period. I know that wrestling can cause a lot of injuries... why in the world would parents allow their daughters to do this?!!

Yeah. Pretty soon they should allow women to fight men in MMA and boxing. HArd to imagine why some guys might find it utterly distasteful to punch a woman in the face.

They are going to fight and some are going to die...violently.
And will likely imperil the rest of their squad in the process. A man's instinct to protect a woman is just that, and having a woman in the ranks is sure to disrupt cohesion and good judgement.

One sport hit hard by cutbacks in men’s athletics is wrestling. With no female counterpart and lacking the strong fan support of most university football programs, more than 400 wrestling programs have been axed in the past 20 years. Princeton also fell prey to similar budget-cutting, dropping its wrestling team in 1993 though the University was able to reinstate it with heavy private funding in 1996.
The elimination of men’s sports teams has prompted some to question Title IX and proclaim it does exactly what it set out to prohibit allocate opportunities based solely on sex.

MN Gopher’s wrestling coach Jay Robinson is right on this.

So it’s appropriate to put hands all over a fellow male but not a female. Some might call that “gay”. Maybe wresting is just an inappropriate sport, altogether.
Get my drift?
Wresting isn’t sexual. It’s physical. If the participants are mature enough to compete in a serious sport at the highest levels, this just shouldn’t be an issue.

Sensible. How are you btw?

The usual argument is that girls can't compete at the same level as boys. Not so here: the girl got to state on merit, by defeating boys on the mat.
So that argument is shot.
I'm going out on a limb here and guessing you've never wrestled at the men's high school level or higher.
Applying pain at your opponent's pressure points is as big a part of most matches as brute strength. You don't have to touch an opponent's arm to get them to remove it from your neck. You can apply pressure to other parts of his body and cause pain, making him decide to change his hold.
Most decent males would not feel comfortable applying this level of pain to a female.
She didn't win anything on a level playing field.

Good for him. This is just more of that "the genders are exactly the same" crap.

Boys are told they can’t touch girls lest they be accused of sexual harrassment.
What do you expect?

No, I don’t really get your drift.
Most boys have a lot of history wrestling and fighting in earnest with other boys. It is a level of combat, nothing sexual, and most boys never view it that way excepting the unusual person who thinks that way.
You may think wrestling with a female is not sexual.
I may think wrestling with a female is not sexual.
But to a young, adolescent boy, can you, as an adult, make that statement on his behalf?
I disagree vigorously with your assertion.

who is this? ellen degenerate?
Of course it’s an issue, you nitwit. If it wasn’t an issue she’d be using the same locker room as the boys. Well, what ya got to say about that ellen?
