we didn’t get African American, we got Afircan Muslime
America will probably have another president who HAPPENS TO BE black but neither Cain nor West are going to be candidates in 2012, either for lack of experience or lack of broad support or both.
Their messages are pure conservatism, however, and I hope they manage to make the public aware of their beliefs. And maybe down the line we’ll see one of them on a GOP ticket.
You mean America’s FIRST black president?
Obama’s mixed.
This is true only for those who judge simply by the color of a person's skin and who lump all blacks together in some way.
The problem is that we don't know what percentage of the electorate this represents. I believe it is smaller than the media wants us to believe or zer0 wouldn't be in the White House.
More like the first Arab American (Not at all sure about the American part) President.
Huh?
More like the first Arab American (Not at all sure about the American part) President.
It all depends if you want to look at facts and statistics, or just be politcally correct.
I prefer facts and statistics. What’s your point?
Cain is obviously much older and he really doesn’t have much time to make his mark presidentially but maybe the Senate from Georgia is a possibility. The state can use a GENUINE CONSERVATIVE in the Senate.
West is a different matter. He is off to a terrific start in the House and has Florida conservatives very excited (especially when compared to Marco Rubio who is acting like he’s afraid of the Tea Party and avoided CPAC). I would love to see West challenge for the GOP senatorial nomination in 2012 so he can take on lackluster liberal Bill Nelson. The contrast would be stark.
“I think we will be highly reluctant to vote for another black person for President, no matter how good he “sounds”.”
Now that we’ve cleared the hurdle presented by the white-guilt driven media, I don’t see another black president being elected any time soon. Latino, maybe (and growing more likely with each election); female, possibly; but the Kenyan Pirate has put up obstacles that will be difficult for any black candidate to overcome (fairly or not). What some blacks saw as a triumphant moment was the last gasp of a shrinking population being displaced by Latinos; their lot has not improved a bit, and too many still live in segregated neighborhoods removed from the daily life of mainstream America.
America had elected our first Mulatto president.
“Neither Cain nor West are going to be candidates in 2012, either for lack of experience”
Didn’t stop BO.
Then why Did Herman Cain quit his job?
I live in the home of the “one drop rule,” though I must admit that Zer0 acts more like one of the “smart-ass white boys”(in Andrew Young’s immortal words) he has put into the White House.
