Get a grip. Dogs are not family. You took your dog away from its family.

I agree. I seriously doubt that doing time improved his character. There was also the little dust up at his birthday party. Supposedly he wasn’t there. Um right.
As for the Bible and dog fighting, God tells us to take care of what He has given us. I know that torturing and killing dogs is not on the same level as murder, but when anyone abuses a person or animal that is their helpless captive, I am enraged. How one treats those who are unable to fight back (and Vick made sure he was in control of these dogs), tells you all you need to know about that person’s heart.
If you can hurt an animal, especially in the brutal way Vick did, you can hurt or abuse a child or elderly person. All three are the most defenseless on earth...Any psychiatrist will tell you that most serial killers started their “career” murdering animals for the pure joy of it.
You don’t have to compare a dog to a child to know that each will suffer pain if they are slammed into the ground or electrocuted.
Well, these are the people that look at dogs as, say, a chair. Easily replaceable once broken..
