Fox News's Glenn Beck lashed out at Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol on his radio show this morning, accusing Kristol of betraying conservatism and missing the significance of what Beck sees as an alliance between Islamism and socialism.
"I don't even know if you understand what conservatives are anymore, Billy," Beck said in his extended, sarcastic attack on Kristol. "People like Bill Kristol, I don't think they stand for anything any more. All they stand for is power. They'll do anything to keep their little fiefdom together, and they'll do anything to keep the Republican power entrenched."
--snip--
Beck, in response, defended his broad theories by reading from the work of the Muslim writer Zudhi Jasser, a sharp critic of most Muslim leaders, to argue of the threat from "Islamic socialism." He also accused Kristol of propping up Hosni Mubarak, of being stuck in 1973, and of failing to see that "we are fighting the forces of evil on this planet."
"I think he's still trying to get Bob Dole elected, i'm not really sure," said Beck.

Nail on the head. It’s nothing but power for the ruling class, whether it’s right or left.
Beck knows Kristol is bona fide Bilderberger. That worries me about Palin. Maybe she was a “patsy”.
Explain.
Kristol has always seemed to be a snarky, elite member of the “Ruling Class”. Sometimes George Will strikes me the same way.
He isn’t wrong about them.
Palin was picked for VP by McCain because he thought she was a nobody. McCain and the elites were trying to lose that election. Heck, by the end McCain was basically campaigning for Obie Won.
What the heck is he talking about? In what way is supporting democracy (a la Kristol) in Egypt a power-preserving ploy? What Beck says doesn’t make any sense. Sorry.
Sarah Palin is nobody’s “patsy.” She is leading the fight against Obama and his policies.
Sarah is not afraid of corrutocrats and frauds from the Right, the Left, or the Media.
Palin 2012
Um...Glenn...no...Dole isn't the one who Kristol is (or was) pushing.
But, I still love ya, Glenn.
People really need to read up on islamic socialism to understand why the radical left and islamokazis are ideal temporary allies.
The left doesn’t have the stones to sacrifice themselves for the cause but they’ve found a friend who does.
Oops typo! Meant to type “corruptocrats” above.
agree.
i’ve always thought that bill kristol was a rino.
Let the RINO elites have the name “conservatism”.
It’s time we start adhering to “Americanism”.
I also happened to hear it this morning on Beck’s radio show.
Gov Palin was a "Hail Mary". McCain was never electable. Without Gov. Palin, Obama might have won 49 states.
Hosni is likely FAR preferable to what's coming, and Kristol recognizes that. Kristol has also been one of Sarah Palin's biggest supporters, so he hasn't exactly taking the RINO party line lately.

Democracy, Egyptian Style, includes these:
"According to a Pew opinion survey of Egyptians from June 2010, 59 percent said they back Islamists. Only 27% said they back modernizers. Half of Egyptians support Hamas. Thirty percent support Hezbollah and 20% support al Qaida. Moreover, 95% of them would welcome Islamic influence over their politics
Eighty two percent of Egyptians support executing adulterers by stoning, 77% support whipping and cutting the hands off thieves. 84% support executing any Muslim who changes his religion. Egyptian values, in other words, are far from liberaleven if some of the protesters currently out in the streets might be. This, of course, runs counter to the idea that has taken hold in many quarters: that the end of the Mubarak era will inexorably lead to democracy in the heart of the Arab world. But numbers dont lie; Egyptian society as a whole is both religious and deeply conservative."
