Propaganda by Omission

Propaganda: the spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person

It seems the above definition needs a little expansion when it comes to the mainstream media in the United States. This Merriam-Webster entry for "propaganda" would be more complete if it read "the spreading and/or omission of information for the purpose of helping or injuring a cause. The omission-style of propaganda was, and still is, on full display with the handling of yesterday's Federal Court ruling declaring President Obama's and the Democrat health care law unconstitutional.

It was amazing this morning to peruse the various newspaper websites to find yesterday's ruling by U.S. District Judge Robert Vinson in Pensacola, Florida either hidden, buried or in some cases missing altogether.

The news outlets completely sunk the U.S. court ruling on the unconstitutional health care law today, as if they could wash it away.

Correct! But are we really surprised?

If you can't appreciate the pure beauty of the violin after hearing this, something's wrong with your ears.

Sandy Berger, Juanita Broderick, Barney Frank’s lead role in the Housing Meltdown and subsequent Depression, etc etc etc.

This is the primary tactic of the Crooked Liberal Lamestream Media. Bad news for conservatives or Republicans gets wall-to-wall coverage 24/7 for WEEKS, even if it’s only a misused (or misspelled) word, while Liberal/Democrat bad news is covered in passing ONCE, then goes down the lamestream media rat-hole, never to be seen, heard or mentioned ever again.

Look at the state of America, particularly the attitudes of young people, and there it is.

They didn't sink it, the lied about it.  What they've lied about is that they say that it can still be implemented.  No it can't because it's not written anywhere in Vinson's 78 page opinion. It's unconstitutional, period.

Indeed. The first lie was that the ruling was an “outlier,” but that spin fell flat.

The next lie was that 0bamacare could go on anyway, but that’s proving to be false as well.

Then they lied by omission...the talk shows and news channels minimized mention of the ruling.

The old news media is our enemy, as their actions show.
