If it does work, then you’re going to be hypothyroid and have to take thyroid compound, and it’s a real bitch-kitty to adjust these meds because the common med is T4, which is inactive until converted by the liver or kidneys into T3. T4 has a half life of 7-10 days, so it is extremely difficult to adjust. You get too much and it’s a nightmare of over-stimulation until the stuff gets used up over a period of days. If you wait too long to restart a new lower dose after that, then you go into low energy mode again. So it’s a terrible roller-coaster ride with the result of the dose not known until about 7-10 days later. So the clinical picture always lags way behind the dose change.
_________
_________
________

From what I hear thyroid meds are always tough to adjust. I think Hillary goes through manic then depressive stages depending on how her thyroid and thyroid medications are doing and interacting with each other

Also phases where her face seems larger and swollen with water and times where her face looks sleek. Right now her face looks large and she read her statement about Egypt in a depressive tone

Thanks for the correction re history of our State follies. You are 100% correct.

“Carter 2.0 is really getting nervous now...
His affirmative action degree didn’t prepare him for this!

lol”

What is interesting here, is recently, the rats have tried to make 0b0z0 into the second coming of Reagan and no references to his old mentor Jimmy Carter.

Makes one wonder if they saw these events coming and didn’t want 0b0z0 to star in the sequel to “Jimmy Carter II gives Egypt to the Jihadists”!

I would be inclined to defer to your experience on the firing lines and include girding loins for budget battles to be a plausible explanation.

The most plausible explanation I put forth is that Hillary wants to convene this group to review US foreign policy objectives similar to what DOD does with it Quadriennal review. In addition, there will be an assessment of the damage Wikileaks has done to bilateral relations. And Hillary will issue some oral directives that she would rather not put in writing to avoid another UN debacle.

I can imagine that the turmoil in the Middle East captures the attention of Obama but I would be quite surprised if he stays awake nights contriving to fund the Department of State and opposition to those pesky Republicans.

Phony strawman. Hillary is the one organizing and directing this meeting. Obama delegates a lot. The NSC really runs our foreign policy.

The State Department has been a rogue institution relative to Republican administrations and there might be a real fear that even the Democrats can lose control.

So much nonsense and misinformation. You obviously don't have a clue how our foreign policy is formulated and implemented. The idea that the State Department is a rogue institution is patent nonsense.

More likely they are strategizing over something that you and I will not like. If it is only a previously scheduled quadrennial review, it will nonetheless mark a sharp left turn.

With a meeting this large and encompassing, there is no way anything will be kept secret. Two thirds or so of the ambassadors are career officers and virtually all of the consulates heads are. There is nothing nefarious or conspiratorial about this meeting, which I believe is totally unnecessary. It is more political theater. Maybe the WH and Hillary will have a group picture to show that Obama is deeply involved in foreign policy. I smell David Plouffe and his propaganda machine involvement. This meeting was set up long before the Egyptian crisis. It may be part of the review below, i.e., to implement the recommendations.

December 15, 2010: Today Secretary Clinton released the State Department's first-ever Quadrennial Diplomacy and Development Review

Uh-oh. Just when the situation cries out most for leadership, Obama’s Cabinet cowards hide amongst groupthink. And when things go bad, they’ll use the excuse “well all the experts to us to do this ...”, to wash their hands of all responsibility. Yeah right. Clearly, the Obama Administration hasn’t got a clue what to do about Egypt. “Consensus is the absence of leadership.” - Margaret Thatcher [This will be Obama’s Albatross]

Bingo.

In a crisis, who answers the phone in the White House at 3am? No one who has any clue whatsoever what is happening. How we miss Ronald Reagan.

The butler??

Wait - would that necessarily be a bad thing, ‘knowledgable-person’-wise??

Hillary is becoming the “frontman” on this, and is gaining a lot of face time.

Who knows what Hillary is up to except no good. She has fingers in many pies, all for her own eating pleasure not Obama's.

I am willing to defer to you on many issues with respect to the Department of State because of your career there but I am not willing to abandon common sense and say that the Department of State has not been undermining Republican presidents for at least a generation and probably going back to Eisenhower. Do you disagree with that? That is my definition of a rogue agency.

The Department of State has been far worse than the CIA and elements within the CIA recently has leaked flagrantly to undermine the Iraqi war and engineered the entire Valerie Plane matter to undermine George Bush. That is my definition of a rogue agency.

How many times did Ronald Reagan have to rewrite the phrase, "tear down that wall" in the teeth of opposition from the State Department?

I don't trust Obama (soros) ,Clinton globalist and the never let a crisis go to waste crowd. Obama’s oil energy policies leading up to this and weakening of our defenses make us more vulnerable. Its like we are being played.

Do you disagree with that? That is my definition of a rogue agency.

Do you have any specific examples? I served in the State Department during the period 1972 to 2000.

How many times did Ronald Reagan have to rewrite the phrase, "tear down that wall" in the teeth of opposition from the State Department?

I was in Berlin at the time and am very familiar with what happened. Presidential foreign policy speeches are vetted with all foreign affairs agencies, including the State Department. Reagan's Berlin Wall speech was vetted within the State Department including with our Minister and Deputy Commandant in Berlin at the time, John Kornblum who was probably the most knowledgeable diplomat on German affairs. He is one of the people in the State Department who believed that "tear down this wall" was not too confrontational to the Soviets and the East Germans. But others within the State Department felt otherwise. Such conflicts exist with all significant Presidential speeches. Each word is scrutinized and bureaucratic battles fought over them. John's views prevailed. He supported the reunification of Germany and not accepting the status quo.

Kornblum described the complex diplomacy which preceded President Reagan's speech at the Brandenburg Gate in an article as "Reagan's Brandenburg Concerto" (in allusion to the complex work of the Brandenburg concertos by Bach), which appeared in the May/June, 2007 issue of The American Interest and was reprinted in the German newspaper Die Welt on June 12, 2007. In the article, he describes how the decision to hold the speech directly at the most dramatic point on the Berlin Wall was planned for nearly a year in advance by US diplomats in Germany and Washington as a counterweight to the growing sentiment within Germany for an arrangement with the new, liberal Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev. Many began to hope that in return for legal acceptance of the sovereignty of East Germany, the West could obtain the inclusion of West Berlin into West Germany and a gradual opening of the wall. Any such deal with Gorbachev would have undermined hopes for reunification of Germany and the liberation of Eastern Europe. Reagan's dramatic call for Gorbachev to "tear down this wall," was not an isolated event, but was conceived as the logical focal point for the detailed American initiative to remind both East and West that the United States was not willing to accept an undemocratic status quo in the center of Europe. The speech highlighted a number of proposals to accelerate democratic change by making the wall more porous, and thus helping Gorbachev to open it. Kornblum describes the many political pressures exerted in Germany and Washington as this concept was being implemented and concludes with an analysis of the meaning of the speech 20 years later.

“Also phases where her face seems larger and swollen with water and times where her face looks sleek. Right now her face looks large and she read her statement about Egypt in a depressive tone”

That would mean she may be having to take corticosteroids like prednisone, methylprednisolone, etc. More bad news for Ms. Clinton. Short courses of these drugs can work miracles, but long term use can be disastrous, and these type of drugs in high enough doses are guaranteed to cause mania to one degree or another.

I don’t particularly care for Hillary’s politics, but I don’t think her worldview is fundamentally malevolent towards the U.S. like Obama, and I certainly don’t wish serious health problems on anyone.

I personally think these health problems are why she is serious about not running for President.

The ambassadors will be purged. Those who do not get with the Obama plan to abandon all of our traditional allies and ally with the World Wide Caliphate nations will be forced to resign. Obama already knows who they are. Hillery is doing his dirty work, she takes the “blame.” Those purged will be replaced by liberal fasists and loyal American Muslims.

The purges have begun my FRiends, and ISSA needs to get on his horse and become the Paladin of the America People. INVESTIGATE NOW!!!!The alternative...possibly civil war.

And for you investors out there. Buy oil stock in Canadian Companies. You will be glad you did.
