Keith Olbermann broke his silence about his split from MSNBC on Monday night, taking to Twitter to thank his fans for their support.
"Citizens Of The Free World: Greetings!" he wrote, three days after announcing he would no longer host "Countdown" for the network. "My humble thanks to all Friends of Keith for the many kind words. The reports of the death of my career are greatly exaggerated."
While fans of Olbermann were shocked on Friday night when he announced his immediate departure from MSNBC, there was at least one person not surprised by the news: Glenn Beck.
"You can handle the mediocre ratings if the guy's not a total pain in the ass," the conservative talk show host said on his show Monday. "But from every indication, Keith Olbermann is the biggest pain in the ass in the world. Nobody liked working with him."

He’s still making $7 million dollars a year, you’d think he could afford three “Thank You” cards for all those “Friends of Keith.”
The shock was it took this long.
Another “Legend in his own mind”.
The fact that he feels the need to “tweet” and make contact with the world reveals the sick level of self-adorement this narcissist feels.
What are the chances that he had continuous turnover in his staff?
“We’ve all had the nasty, conniving deceitful boss who seems to get ahead no matter how despicable and lying and treacherous he is....”
Like the owner’s son?
They’ll probably name his next show “Counted Out”.
Friends of Keith? Those would be known as FOKs, all 8 of them. Maybe they could form FOKs News and read stories to other FOKers.
WTF? Over. Besides, how did this ass-klown go from being an incredibly inept sports announcer to some sort of news guru?
He must have pictures of the Big Boss with an underage shetland pony and a horny parrot. I also want to know if he's a glandular case or not. Normal people do not look like that. The Pillsbury Dough Boy, Michelin Man, maybe. Enquiring minds need to know.
