Governments get toppled, and a western-backed authoritarian regime in Tunisia gets replaced with an Islamic authoritarian regime.
But at least we can feel good about ourselves in having gasoline that is 10% ethanol. Never mind that it takes more regular gas to make the same amount of ethanol.
The Tunisians are frightened by that talk from Iran and the autocracy will remain intact. We don’t know yet who the new ruler will be but he won’t be a democrat.

EVERY TIME a military dictator in an Islamic pig-hole is toppled, he is followed by a popular Islamic Theocracy - look at Iraq, Iran and soon to be Afghanistan.
We should let these people simmer in their own waste and just make sure we insulate them and/or bomb the heck out of them if they threaten us.

Tunisia is part of the Francosphere, they are not backwater hillbillies streaming out of the mountains of central Iran ala 1979.
Tunisia has a huge youth population that are very much ingrained with, and are active participants in and contributors to the European/French popular culture...
Worse than an Islamic theocracy, Tunisia might morph into the slums of France if they state can’t solidify it’s control.

Tunisia’s bond are still trading 100 basis points lower than the State of Illinois.
The world markets have more trust in the robustness of Tunisian people, economy and government than that of the State of Illinois.
