Given his upbringing and history, Republican would probably be offensive to him.

I understand great society liberals like Caddell. They see people in need and they want to give them something. They also have problems with foreign policy because they consistently make the mistake of believing everybody is reasonable.

Besides the fact that he is wrong, his motivations are fairly honest and genuine. That is where he departs from his party.

The big government liberals have forgotten the saying "Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime."

Interestingly, Caddell has been showing up on Red Eye with frequency.

It is almost like an atonement. Caddell keeps reporting Obama and Socialist/Democrat negative polling data (aside from calling Krugman an asshole multiple times last night), then with the apology, "and I voted for him."

Agreed. Right now the current democrats are mostly power hungry want-to-be tyrants. They want to tell people what to do for the sheer joy of ordering them about.

I am not talking about just the guys at the top either. You can't reason with a bully. You have to beat the tar out of him.
