The hidden crimes of Kosovo
Washington Post ^ | January 8, 2011 | Chuck Sudetic

Posted on 01/08/2011 11:35:48 PM PST by americanophile

Americans should feel betrayed by the contents of the Council of Europe's report on organized crime in mostly Albanian-populated Kosovo, a country that owes its existence to the United States. The report, authored by Swiss prosecutor Dick Marty, includes allegations that Kosovo leaders have committed heinous crimes and allegations that American and European diplomats and U.N. officials in Kosovo overlooked wrongdoing to preserve "political stability." Kosovo's leaders have waged an ugly media campaign to discredit Marty and his findings and have threatened to launch a witch hunt against Albanians who aided the inquiry. Washington's voice is needed now to stop the incitement in Kosovo and to turn public opinion toward an international criminal investigation and, if necessary, prosecutions. The report draws upon Albanian eyewitnesses and insiders as well as Western intelligence and police agencies, and not upon the Albanians' foe, the government of Serbia. The findings speak of the trafficking of drugs and women. They include accounts of the abduction in Kosovo of almost 500 Serbs, Albanians and members of other ethnic groups; the delivery of these kidnapping victims to secret camps in Albania; and the murder of almost all of those abducted, including some whose internal organs were allegedly sold for profit. The report alleges that these killings occurred from mid-1999 to mid-2000, after NATO's bombing campaign drove Serbia's forces from Kosovo. The report names Prime Minister Hashim Thaci, who has for years been America's golden boy in Kosovo, and a number of Thaci's former comrades in the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), an amalgam of local insurgencies that rose against Serbia. Washington knew of the kidnappings weeks after NATO occupied Kosovo in June 1999. U.S. diplomats quickly responded to Serb appeals for help by demanding that KLA commanders halt the kidnappings.

My personal experience w/Albanians is that if they have no one else to fight with, they fight w/each other. Just an observation from my teens to early twenties.

It’s a miserable country in my experience. Islam plus communism...what could be worse?

The writer (Sudetic) wrote on a book that organ transplanting happened in this house, 4-5 hours away from civilization, with no water, roads or electricity if Speigel is to be believed.

Is it even possible to do an organ transplant in that house and 10 years ago? Other versions said organs were 'sold' outside the country but provided zero evidence. That it's not that easy to do either: you need to match donors, move it within hours, move it through customs and past numerous secret services agents that presumably were there for the war. And it's not even as lucrative as selling drugs, by the time everyone is paid off, even if you could pull it off /wanted to do it. I call it a BS on organ trading. Not to mention that CoE is not the most accurate organization:

Reportedly “dead" witnesses in Haradinaj’s case alive 8 January 2011 | 16:59 | Source: Tanjug PRIŠTINA -- The Muriqi brothers, witnesses in the case against Ramush Haradinaj, who were reported as murdered by the CoE Rapporteur Jean Charles Gardetto, are alive.

Ramiz and Sadik Muriqi told Kohavision Television (KTV) that they were very surprised and distraught by lies stated in the report. They underscored that they had nothing to do with the proceedings against Haradinaj, that they were not witnesses in the case and that they lived a peaceful life in Peć.

The Muriqi brothers announced that they would file a suit against the author of the report because their names were misused for, as they said, lies and slanders against Kosovo.

The Priština media reported earlier that in addition to the report on illegal human organ trafficking in Kosovo authored by CoE Special Rapporteur Dick Marty, the agenda for the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) winter session will also include the report on witness protection in former Yugoslav countries, including Kosovo, in which Gardetto stated that witnesses who dared to testify on war crimes in Kosovo winded up killed.

In the report titled “The protection of witnesses as a cornerstone for justice and reconciliation in the Balkans” Gardetto described Kosovo as a “black hole” when it comes to witness protection.

Those of us who watched from the beginning ... the fake set ups by Clinton, the mainstream media complicity, the murder of Ron Brown while running guns to the musssies - I mean Albainian KLA, the bombing of civilians and bridges by Gen. Clarke... knew that our former allies, the Christian Serbs who saved so many airmen during WWII, were being deliberately set up for political gain. It was no mistake.

We paid for it with 911...

Albainia is a full-fledged criminal organization run for the benefit former SS members. It was the Serbs who stopped the Nazi (muslim) Albainian SS. Albainia was ethnically and religiously cleansed in the 60s and 70s.

That was the same program they carried out in Kosovo. A historic muslim victory commemorating their defeat at the The Battle of Kosovo in 1389.

You're being played.

Do yourself a favor and read a book, rather than relying upon the kindness of strangers, who more often than not around here, are nothing but ignorant fools.

You are doubting the story because of the condition of the house??? First of alot of houses got running water in the late 70s & 80s and most of the country was electrified by '74. If they had no running water they sure as hell had well water. What do you suppose they do, white wash the house and place a sign in the window? All you need are tables, coolers and ice, and a scapel or two....I'm sure there were generators

No argument from me. The dhimmi known as Charles Johnson kicked out of his blog anybody who thought that the Albanians were less than wonderful.

“First of alot of houses got running water in the late 70s & 80s and most of the country was electrified by ‘74”

What country you are talking about? To take organs out or to transplant them you need sterile conditions, super sterile, not mold, humidity and flies. To kill a cow and sell the meat by the pound you may get away with just some ice, provided you take it to the market fast. I wish I had the link to B92, they interviewed a Serbian doctor and said no way.

And I doubt the story because there isn’t a story, they are several stories, but no proof. First it was 500, then 50, then a handful. Then they changed location, then it was only extraction not transplantation, then it was done on the city close to the airport (’they were killed with a bullet in the head’ in the middle of a city!) and bodies were taken by car 10 hours away and so on. All without any proof or making any sense.

Read how Serbia’s 007 got the “evidence”, read the comments to have a good laugh http://www.b92.net/eng/news/society-article.php?yyyy=2010&mm=12&dd=22&nav_id=71678

“Albainia is a full-fledged criminal organization run for the benefit former SS members. It was the Serbs who stopped the Nazi (muslim) Albainian SS. Albainia was ethnically and religiously cleansed in the 60s and 70s.”

If Enver Hoxha https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Enver_Hoxha , the uber-Stalinist that ruled Albania from 1945-1986 was alive he’d send a squad to kill you for saying he was a Nazi. In fact, Hoxha sent Albanian communist brigades to help Tito (a Croat and Slovene) to fight the Nazis in Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia.

Border guards had orders to shoot to kill anyone that got too close to the border and the escapee families were interned to ‘Siberia’ and shamed for decades. All religion was banned but it may have prevented radical Islam you see today in many countries.

Now the question is, WTH did you get the ‘information’ from???

My my, testy, aren't we... good day to be threatening to launch death squads on fellow FRers...

“All religion was banned” (except Islam) “but it may have prevented radical Islam you see today in many countries”... like Albania and the KLA? Albania preventing Islam anywhere is just plain B.S.

The Albanian SS regiment during WWII is a fact. As is Albania a muslim country today. And check with Interpol for current Albanian gangs being run directly out of Albania.

Depend on wikicrap at your own peril...

“All religion was banned” (except Islam)”

ALL religion was banned, including Islam. Tell me how Islam wasn’t banned by Enver Hoxha. Wanna know Balkan crime? The Albanian Mafia doesn’t even stand a chance against the Serbian one, Bulgarian or Montenegrin. You are clueless. https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Serbian_mafia . Just Google Darko Saric and Joca Amsterdam, forget those in the 1990’s.
