Yeesh. I knew the “Playboy Mansion” was a sleaze pit and that all the glamor was simply hype, but I didn’t suspect it was this bad. Hefner is more pathetic than I thought he was—an old man living in a dingy house and still obsessed with bedding 20 year olds. And these “girlfriends” are nothing more than glorfied prostitutes. Cheap, crass, glorified prostitution is what goes on there.

As we see in this article, the glamor and glitz of the Playboy Mansion is only an illusion. It's reality is poop stains on the carpet, other "stains" on old mattresses, and dreary and depressing people trying to keep up a facade that looked so hip and glamorous in the 1960's.
This really does show how shallow the “playboy lifestyle” is. Hefner has nothing in his life. He is “pouring over” logs of when the girls come and go, he’s giving them drugs, he’s taking Viagra every night. His life is all about sex. And its meaningless sex. It goes without saying that none of these girls would be with him if he didn’t give them $1,000 per week and put them as centerfolds in his magazine. And he knows it. Many young men go through a period in their lives when they would love to live the “Playboy” lifestyle of constant sex with good looking women. Most grow out of it—they mature. Some don’t and end up doing drugs and engaging in orgies at the Playboy mansion. Its not glamorous—its pathetic.
