Why Muslims must look in the mirror
NY Post ^ | December 29, 2010 | M. ZUHDI JASSER

Posted on 12/30/2010 3:17:30 AM PST by Scanian

If 2010 was the year America finally woke up to political Islam's ne farious reach on US soil, with luck 2011 will be the year we launch an offensive against it. One way to begin that process is through hearings that Rep. Peter King (R-NY), the new chair of the House Homeland Security Committee, plans to hold on American Muslim radicalization.

Attention to this issue offers an opportunity for American Muslims to confront the radicalization problem and provide solutions -- as only they can.

My group, the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, believes these hearings will shed light on the diversity of American Muslims, giving our community a chance to step from behind the veil of Muslim victimization and address head-on the need for long-overdue ideological reforms.

Alas, the announcement of the hearings has triggered heated denunciations by groups like ISNA, CAIR and MPAC, which try to deny and obfuscate the connection between "political Islam," or Islamism, and terror.

This year, the debate on the development of the Ground Zero mosque brought the discussion of political Islam to the front page of every newspaper. While raucous at times, it provided an opportunity for Muslims who don't toe the line of American Islamist organizations to present an alternative vision for American Muslims -- one based in American values and Muslim reform.

Unfortunately, political correctness still too often dominates incidents involving Islamists. This year, the Pentagon released a report on Maj. Nidal Hasan's Fort Hood attack, titled "Protecting the Force: Lessons from Fort Hood." The report was intended to convey to military commanders whatever lessons were learned from the incident, so as to prevent similar attacks in the future. Yet it never mentioned the word Islam or Muslim. Nowhere to be found was any dissection of Hasan's slide into militant Islamism

Moreover, the Koran not only ALLOWS lying by Muslims to “infidels,” it in fact REQUIRES it as a means of advancing Islam.

Another reason why I believe nothing any Muslim says; nor would I attempt to negotiate with them regarding anything of importance or value.

Mr. Jasser, your religion gives you the right to lie to us infidels. Well, are you?

More surprising info here.

IMHO, and having studied this a bit, the only resolution is expulsion from the US of anybody that pledges adherence to Shariah law.

That may sound draconian. But Shariah law and Democracy are completely and totally incompatible.

“those who accept the Koran as the word of Allah, which is preached in every mosque in the US”

I believe the figure is less than 5% of the muslim population in the U.S. regularly goes to mosque.
The majority of mosques in the U.S., unfortunately have been bought & paid for by islamists, ie: Wahhabists & muslim brotherhood. Keep in mind, most muslims who have sought refuge in the U.S. are escaping lives that include religious intolerance.
That’s why most don’t attend - they don’t want to hear the radical rantings.

SO, out of one side of your mouth, you say “No doubt that Dr. Jasser is a courageous man” and out of the other, you say “Another reason why I believe nothing any Muslim says; nor would I attempt to negotiate with them regarding anything of importance or value.”

No point in this discussion.

As I said, that type is really Kaffir and, when found out, is no better off from a Sharia standpoint than I am.

Have a look at this, just cited by another poster:

It would be hard to make it any clearer or more brief.

I’ll tell you this:

If he would go into an Islamic country and deny the Koranic commands: “Kill infidels where you find them. Chop off their heads.” And that lovely allegory about the tree which shouts, “O Muslim, there is a Jew hiding behind me. Come here and kill him!”

Do that and I’ll call him worthy of a Medal of Honor.

Sorry to attribute it to you. That quote came from a post above yours.
Apparently, you don’t think so.

For your information, Dr. Jasser IS a loyal & patriotic American Muslim

Being a patriotic American and being a Muslim is something that cannot be reconciled. Anyone who supports this Infidel country with its Infidel laws many of which are contrary to the Koran and Hadiths might be patriotic Americans but they are Muslim heretics. A Muslim's loyalty is to Allah; and not to some man made country and man made laws. He should know that. The Muslim fundamentalist do, and that is why they kill heretics like him.

You can sense heresy in his writing where he suggests:My group, the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, believes these hearings will shed light on the diversity of American Muslims, giving our community a chance to step from behind the veil of Muslim victimization and address head-on the need for long-overdue ideological reforms. Basically its heresy; lets change the religion so I can be an Infidel useful Idiot and get along with the Kaffirs. -TomP>

Why Muslims must look in the mirror

I thought they couldn't see themselves in the mirror.

Oh, wait....

That's vampires.

Never mind.

"There may be moderate muslims. But there is NO moderate islam." Ibn Warriq.

islam is not a religion. It's an odious political philosophy as poisonous as Nazism. We didn't try to make peace with 'moderate' Nazis. We outlawed it entirely in Germany.

The world should do the same with islam.

>>>”The Jihadists are merely devout muslims practicing their faith.”<<<

Yes!

If they are true practicing muslims, their faith dictates that the words of Allah revealed in the Koran thru the angel Gabriel to Mohammad, the actions of prophet Mohammad, and the words/actions of any other notable source of Islamic emulation e.g. Imams or Caliphs, must supersede any thing else.

The emphasis is very much on “the Ummah” (a Universal Muslim Community or Community of believers) instead of distinct countries (with specific/distinct borders) as we know them in the West.

Btw, they don’t need to be tagged as “Jihadists”. There are many other ‘category’ of muslims who do believe in ‘the Ummah’, although the methods of getting there may not be as violent as the so-called Jihadists.

Indeed, the fake “moderate” Muslims who lie to us about their desire for peace and tolerance are merely advancing the Ummah in their own sneaky way.

And their lies are all spoken with the Prophet’s blessing.
