Fortunately I read earlier this month how kwanzaa is a passing fad and has steadily lost interest from black Americans.

"Obama took time Sunday to call King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia to wish him well as he recovers from a recent illness. The king congratulated the president on the Senate ratification of the START Treaty, a White House statement said. The two pledged to continue cooperating closely on a range of issues.
