Three GOP Senators did not cast votes in the START ratification: Bond, R-MO; Brownback, R-KS and Bunning, R-KY.

“Why... to hide?”

Interesting how this treaty was ratified AFTER DADT was passed.

God is stripping us of our power.

I will repeat what I said about this last night:

“Good on you, Senator McConnell! Appearances can be deceiving, but I have great faith in your handling of the situation of late. The Democrats have whipped their charges into line (including a number of Republicans, it must be confessed), giving the illusion of getting everything they wanted and more, but you continue to hold back the power play. Bravo! And having your troops whine about how tired they are?* A strategic masterstroke!

The GOP is 100% right to return you to the traditional and richly deserved senate minority leadership prize. No politician in my memory has been so badly bent over a sawhorse and buggered (my little salute to DADT repeal) by the (nominal) opposition during a lame duck session, but just because the front wheels have gone off the cliff is no reason to change drivers. Go get ‘em in 2011!

Mr. niteowl77

*Note to the Honorable Mr. Burr: my son is still under canvas in Afghanistan, and he not only won’t get to come home for Christmas early, he isn’t going to be able to spend ANY of this Christmas season in CONUS... yet AGAIN! He’s tired too, but then people depend on him doing his job and and doing it right, and so he has to stay there in order to...
Hey! You are in the same boat, too! How about that? Funny how people handle things differently.”

How to purge a RINO:

The massive Tea Party events and public outcry don’t matter to a RINO, election results don’t matter to a RINO, emails, letters, phone calls and news editorials don’t matter to a RINO. Their talk of conservatism is just that, talk to get elected. These turncoats need purging and here’s how.

Plan is offense, not defense.

The true conservatives in Congress, ‘standing together as a united body’, need to publicly call out these traitorous RINOs and force their hand. The war can only be won from within. Massive fair media exposure of these events pasted for all to see.

Bam… RINO is toast

Oh great. He is not running again in 2012. That is just great. Now the Dems have a guarantee vote for anything that might interest Cochran. I hate these Senators sometimes. The ONLY thing IIRC that did not pass during these last two weeks was the illegal bill. I am sure that it will pass when the new congress comes in. McCain and Graham will begin their decent back to liberals after seeing these other Republicans voting for bills they wish they could vote for.

I was stationed at a Nike Hercules missile site in the late 60s and know fair well that they were capable of defending this country against all USSR bomber fleets. Even though they were nuclear tipped and could not only be used as a ground to air but ground to ground, they were all shut down when the dumb decision was made to go offensive only. ICBMs were just coming on line and our gov didn't think they needed defensive weapons.

If you are interested in what we (used) to have to defend our country go to Site Summit Alaska

That's the Nike site I served on for 2 years.

...etc...No, Senator McConnell, don’t you dare come around here trying to talk tough...etc...
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
I will say one thing for the D’s.
In similar circumstances, the 10 TRAITORS (3 are through anyway) would be vying for being in charge of the guy that cleans the heads etc when it came to committee assignments.
Same for the TRAITORS in the DADT debacle.
So, I guess our fearless so called ‘leaders’ (barf) traded the partial stopping of money bill and handed the D’s these others on a silver platter.
This ‘lame duck’ session is reminding me of “Damn Yankees”, just waiting for someone to start singing “Whatever Lola Wants”, as the spineless SOB’s certainly did sell their souls to the Devil.
If they had done this much ‘work’ in the preceding 2 years we would really be in deep kimchi.

UNBELIEVABLE.

Just UNBELIEVABLE!

Remember a day when we didn’t surrender to hostile states and politicians were proud of our nation?

Not when all liberals are further marginalized in 2012.

I’m only surprised that we don’t see more of the normal crowd. The one’s we need to worry about are the ones who are not retiring. The list would’ve been much longer had some GOP Senator’s not anticipating especially tough re-elections. Personally I don’t understand why they choose to vote for this. It doesn’t give them anything politically unless of course they really believe the crap in the treaty. Those who do care about the treaty are and will vote on the issue will predominantly vote against these losers. We really need to replace the two yahoo’s from TN. The state is much too conservative to have such weak slush mush representation.

What we need to realize is that these individuals don’t see themselves as representatives they see themselves in some grand deluded perspective in which they are ‘bigger than it all’. Those who we should fear the most are those who see us and American strength and sovereignty as a problem. Brown is a particular disappointment. It is sad he is retreating into a pattern of obscurity where as he could’ve been a center right leader helping to reclaim the NE. Now he is becoming just another typical NE politician. I suspect he’ll switch parties some day because these recent votes are indicators they he is not willing to stand out as an independent. I believe Maine is going to surprise and get rid of Snowe. I wouldn’t be surprised if she retires.

Why is it so hard to get representatives that simply put American interests and the interests of liberty first? The good thing is now we have our targets. Some we knew and some we suspected. They could have all voted against this with the argument that they were sticking to a lame duck promise not to allow this kind of thing to be pushed through.

What you see in these guys is the status quo political machine. There wasn’t much McConnell could do for the retirees how ever if he want’s our support he’d better start using committee assignments and such to take some of these Rhino primadonna’s down or else he can be retired as well.

Someone may need to talk me down but maybe I was mistaken when I thought we were clearly winning the culture war. That’s why I like Palin, at least she scares them, maybe it’s the best we can do.

Is it too conspiracy-minded to think maybe all these “huge victories” (and that’s what the media is going to be saying for days) are an attempt to insulate themselves against Palin? She’s deftly using the pop culture medium as their ONLY effective detractor. When I say they, I mean the media and WH and GOP estab etc etc.

Let’s hope. This group of Republicans could have refused all this stuff through simple filibuster or any number of ways. The Democrats only have 58 votes total so EVERYTHING could have been denied and it was not. What is left in 2012? Immigration. That is about the only thing not done. And I think that will pass at some point due to immigration lovers McCain and Graham among others.

“Not when all liberals are further marginalized in 2012.”
____________

Are you kidding me. Seven weeks ago we nailed the pelt of the Democratic Party to a tree and were licking our chops over the “lame duck” president. In the last two weeks, he bought a giant Democratic gift package for the price of a two year STAGNATION of current taxes, got Gays in the Military, START, 9/11 health give away to Unions and we are still talking like he is on the ropes. We had better get a better plan, cause this guy and his party are alive and kicking!

Putin knew how to play this. I’m sure he roflol’d when Biden spoke of Obama’s “steel spine”.

Not surprising that the dolt doesn't know the difference between steel and a spaghetti noodle.

It ain’t because Obama or his party are so good. It’s because the formerly grand OLD party is so bad.
