[Senators] want to go home, Burr said. When you got a process that has a definitive end, you use slippage backward. Thats why all of these things were orchestrated to come up at this time of year. Burr would have preferred to see the debate continue next session, since there is no compelling reason that this needs to be done right now.
I tell ya. Don’t anyone wish ME a “merry Christmas.”
Bah!
Why bother having two parties anymore?
Why bother having two parties anymore?
Why the hurry to get it passed in a couple of days? Wait until January and do it right.
If they’re going to pass it they should just leave and let democrats do it on their own.
Yeah, we cannot expect them to allow trivial little matters like national defense get in the way of their cushy vacations.
Just terrible they are. They care not about this country, just vacation time.
Why call Republicans "wimpy"?
Isn't that one of those things that goes without saying?
Rino's need to be _____!!!!!!!!
Call Mitch McConnell’s office he is after all susposedlly IN CONTROL of his senators. Remind them of NOVEMBER and we are taking names and recording votes of GOP breaking their oath of office and siding with bambi.
KEEP HITTING REDIAL
Sen. Corkers office 202-224-3344
Sen. Lamar Alexander 202-224-4944
Mitch McConnell 202-224-2541
Toll-Free number to the Congressional Switchboard (866) 338-1015.
As the article states, McConnell isn’t even whipping the vote; he’s not even talking to his guys. Probably too busy booking his plane tickets.
To keep up the appearance that someone in DC cares about the people and the nation. With two parties, everyone can believe that there is a champion and a villain.
The truth is that both parties are full of villains with very few (if any) champions. We don’t need term limits anymore. We need guillotines.
Sure, why not sacrifice national security if it gets you 3 extra vacation days with the family celebrating what is left the the USA?
To busy hiding under his desk. NO BACKBONE. This is where we need men like the HAMMER or Ms. Bachmann. I don’t think we have even ONE senator with their backbone.
I think I`ll get a list of the traitors in that worthless party and, next election, I`ll find a way to help the rat who runs against them. I see no difference between the rats and the crats and if thats what it takes to clear that party, the one we Conservatives are told we can`t do without, then the faithful party-crats can kiss my @ss and deal!
[Senators] want to go home, Burr said.
So you will vote for anything at all???? Apparently YOU will since you also thought repeal of no mos in the military was such a hot idea.
Look...just earmark me in a couple mil and I don’t give a flyin eff what y’all do.
UnFREAKIN believable.
Stupid, because this can work both ways. Democrats want to go home too. Just tell them you’re not going to budge, and you’re prepared to sit here as long as it takes.
At some point they realize you’re serious, and they give it up so they can go home for Xmas.
Obama has gotten EVERYTHING he wants by demanding, pitching erudite hissy fits and talking about how it (whatever it is) has to be done RIGHT NOW, NOW, NOW, HURRY, RUSH, RUSH, HURRY, HURRY, HURRY! - Godspeed to the new TEA Party people coming in and hope they stick to it.
Yes, I couldn’t agree more. If they don’t clean this crap up QUICKLY in the next congress, THERE WILL BE A THIRD PARTY.
Before I was up for reelection in November, I faced the vote in committee [to approve New START], Isakson recalled. From a political standpoint, it would have been easy to just say no. But [supporting START] was the right thing to do. And I got almost 60 percent of the vote after having voted for it in the committee. The worst decision would have been to go back on what weve already done.
To think that I was one of the 60% that voted for Johnny boy. Never again...
I don’t think they got the last election.
I voted for that bastard,,,well I hope he’s ready for a nice long retirement.
Here’s the idiots twitter for what it’s worth:@TeamIsakson
Look at the photo from the article, specifically the white-haired fellow with the smirk on his face. Can anyone take that character seriously? He wants his goodies, now and so do his pals. They don't care about anything else, and they don't need to they've been there so long. It's way past time for them to retire. Let's help them do that.
Then RESIGN!
Invest in guillotines because that is where Mr Burr and his ilk will face the music. These worthless dictators always end up there.
Why bother having two parties anymore?
Also, people who state “Third parties take away votes from GOP” keep the GOP liberal. If the GOP knew that a independent conservative could beat them in an election...they get conservative
He is a fool. This is from his press release:
“Verification is better than no verification at all; that inspections and transparency are what prohibit things like what happened on 9/11 from ever happening again...”
