AMEN!
But a fellow don’t wanna be in a slot just before a cloudburst; dam or NO dam!
Check this link, click “View larger map,” and look to the right and down:

This is the same large dam shown on Google Earth at:
37.146221° N
-112.986516°
If the dam breaks, the house below it is wet firewood.
And there are GOBS of them!
;^)
No doubt!
YAY!!!
All this stuff is on the other side of Zion from you, isn't it?
I've looked at that on GoogleEarth...
I pray everyone is ok.
Dam likely to hold back torrent, officials confirm
The 86-foot-tall earthen dam, which was inspected in April and given a clean bill of health, is holding back 1,900 acre feet of water, but there is a spot where some is seeping through.
Washington County officials said at 4:45 that it appeared the dam would hold, but it would continue to be monitored.
Oh Brother; Where Art Thou?
OMG! Must go there in summer, camera in hand!!
Dam the dam break!
“best friends’ should not be in trouble from this. They are gonna be wet.
Check out
Old Paria
and
Gilestown
for what happens during floods...
OMG! Must go there in summer, camera in hand!!
Take extra memory. There are thousands of places like this in Utah and northern Arizona.
I was in Phoenix last summer. Mostly in below-grade windowless conference rooms, but at least rode up Sandia Mountain the last evening. Yes, need to go back -- when I am not working.
Hm. Usually I dump to laptop, wipe card and shoot... but maybe that's not the best arrangement.

I've vacationed in Springdale. That is beautiful country.
