My single experience skiing was in Keene, NH. I found the snow was exceedingly hard.
Good story ! Glad it turned out a lot better than otherwise.
Usually when I go skiing, I usually like going to the places where there are not too many people. Like at Breckenridge, I usually get to Chairlift 6 and ski there most of the day.
These days, I hardly ski anymore since for three people, it gets expensive !
I love skiing myself. Skied since I was a teenager. Kinda lazy though so I don’t get myself into that kinda trouble ggggg.
Will a beer summit make things better?
I mean a cerveza summit!
I LOVE Breck! There is a bar across the street that has a walkin humidor and a fantastic selection of liquor.

Cecelia’s ? I remember back in around 1995 or 1996, it was a grunge bar than went through changes and tried to go upscale. I use to go there for a night or two, stay at the Hostel off of French St and go party on Main St. On Ceclia’s, I would go get a cigar and smoke one and hang out for a little bit.
I’m not excusing him, but a 14-year-old is likely NOT a little girl. She could have looked like any teen or young adult.
My son is 14, and he’s bigger and taller than I am, and I wouldn’t be surprised if someone mistook him for an adult if he was in a ski outfit.
Mrs. Slim is a skier. I have no interest. Too many people who think their lift ticket says “I own the mountain!”. She has tried to get me on the slopes, but I just tell her I’d end up killing someone.
Finally. I said I’d ski if I could wear my S&W 29 in a shoulder holster outside my jacket and an sign saying “I can’t shoot you if you stay behind me.”
End of discussion.

Sometimes a warm fire and the bar are the most fun too be had.
Except for the whole protecting my child from a deranged adult who is actively engaged in assaulting her, yeah, I guess I do.
