It might be a good thing to let them wear high heel shoes in combat. {:0)

"They Straight recruits will be "asked' to arrange to shower either very late at night or very early in the morning. Refusal will mean a "counseling" session where a bit more "educating" will be attempted on the gay  straight recruit."

Come on now...you say you were in the military 50 years ago?  I was also in the military over 44 years ago and the military does not even come close to resembling the morals and character we once knew.  The military was completely changed in the 70's from a fighting force to a "touchy-feely" sensitive to the rights of others force.  Now, we reap the harvest of Political Correctness, diversity and sensitivity that will eventually weaken our fighting forces to the point that ranking officers and NCOs will have to reason with the troops before they will obey an order.

How much worse can it get?

This fighting force we have today, all volunteers is the best trained and most committed we have ever had. Whatever their reasons for joining were they are first and foremost MEN.

If you think a soldier is going to put up with being ogled in the shower by another man who is KNOWN to be gay then you are seriously out of touch. As I have explained, although out of the service a long while I have several veteran friends who have children and nephews in the military and it is from these people I pass along the facts of what has and will continue to happen when gays out themselves.

The military is a brotherhood and within it’s ranks is much grab assing, butt slapping, hugs and such and none of it is looked upon as anything but a show of brotherly affection, with no sexual innuendo. Once a troop is known to be gay, do you seriously think he will not be told to back off or at the minimum shunned if he attempts to put an arm around the shoulder of a buddy or otherwise grab ass with them? How do you believe a soldier will react KNOWING the guy next to him in the shower or sleeping in the other bunk in his room is a flaming queen?

The gays will be self segregated into their own rooms, will only shower with their own kind and they will also be mercilessly taunted should they show any overt signs of their twisted sexuality. You have forgotten much about the military and foremost is they are a separate class of people then civilians. They neither think nor feel the same way about a whole host of things as do civilians with no military experience.

Mark my words, if those gays in the military were unhappy before, they will be totally miserable after they are FORCED to declare themselves and everyone on base knows about it within hours. No matter what gays think, they are NOT accepted as equals among the huge majority of people and especially men. The circle of friends they had before being outed will dramatically shrink and they will be forced to hang out with only their own kind.

Anybody who has served with foreign forces who allow homosexuals in their ranks recognize immediately what occurs. Cliques are formed with homosexuals forming openly competitive groups to the command, within the command.

Command and control is immediately challenged by a group which has honed skills of how to ride the fence without being held accountable for their behavior.

The homosexual clique will remain compliant while enlarging its grasp, with the goal of controlling the leadership.

Even when Obama is removed from office, the military will now remain a permanent antiChristian force, fully able to disobey lawful orders by civilian command in stealth.

The objective at present should be for the new Congress to revert these decisions in about 8 months, while encouraging full disclosure and a coming out of all homosexuals within the DoD and their allies. Upon removal of the policies, and return to normalcy, a purge of all sexual perversion could then be performed in the military. IMHO, deadly force would be justifiable considering the extent of treasonous criminal plotting which has accompanied the homosexual movement, though I doubt the people even understand why it is likely requisite for their freedoms to survive.

I agree. They will be the first targets. Now that the ranks are going to be full of sexual deviants, the chaplains will have to be taken out.

The left is finally able to begin their destruction of the greatest military in the world.

Ours are not “foreign forces” and comparing them to such is at the start a faulty premise. American soldiers ARE different, they are NOT politically correct and they DO NOT tolerate openly gay soldiers. It is viewed as a reflection on themselves because the military is like a brotherhood of men. How would you feel if it were suddenly revealed your brother was gay? Would you fell a bit defensive? Would you think others may think if he is you are? Many would feel that way and in the military it will be worse for the gay because as a civilian you can choose to associate or not with gays. In the military you will be FORCED to not only room with them but according to some panel suggestions, you will be forced to shower with them knowing all the time they are checking out your “junk”

I agree with the rest of what you say and add this. This whole completely politically motivated repeal of DADT was done with no thought of how it would impact and impact in a hugely negative way on the gay enlistee who now MUST have his preferences known to all.

I spent 5 years in the Navy myself (discharged in ‘86) and the culture has changed a LOT since you and I were in. The CNO (Chief of Naval Opeerations, i.e. the head honcho) had PRAISED the ruling and said how “good” it will be for the military. Would Halsey or MacArthur, or Patton EVER have praised a ruling that allowed known sexual deviants to openly serve?

No, sadly, instead of making the perverts conform to the military, they will force the military to conform to the perverts.

Sorry, pal but the brass hasn’t a thing to do with the grunts and how they will react. If you really believe officers are going to spend a lot of time sheltering faggots from the troops you are out of touch.

The brass doesn’t run the military, the non coms do and it is they who will over see the “problem” this revocation of DADT will cause (for the gays)

My opinion is that the GLBT organizations are going to publicly call for servicemen to stay closeted — because in fact I expect we will find the number of gays in the military is much lower than what they have been pretending, and they want to hide that fact by claiming they are all still scared.

They will then look for “other relief” to try to “lower the fear”, to “help” their members “come out”.

You really have been out of the military a long time, haven’t you? You and I are old military where homosexuals were not tolerated in any manner. This is the NEW military where “diversity” and “sensitivity” are more important than killing people and breaking things.

If you choose to believe what the press tells you then fine. My opinion comes from contact with people within the ranks as well as veterans I served with who themselves have children and extended family in the military.

The mistake many make is believing those who volunteer to fight are the same as the squishy lefties who wouldn’t be caught dead in a uniform and belittle those who actually would fight and die for our freedoms
