URGENT!!!

Dream Amnesty Allows Obama To Grant Amnesty To All Illegals

ALIPAC is rallying talk radio show listeners and American citizens to call the US Senate to oppose the Dream Act Amnesty today. The bill contains a waiver that would allow the Secretary of Homeland Security and President Obama to grant Amnesty to most illegal immigrants in America.

"The Dream Act Amnesty is a Nightmare already and would displace several million innocent American students, workers, and voters," said William Gheen, President of ALIPAC. "But now we find a waiver on page 5, line 21 of HR 5281 that allows Obama to grant Amnesty for most of the 12-20 million illegal aliens in America!"

Close inspection of HR 5281, which passed the house last week by a narrow margin, finds a blanket waiver provision on page 5 line 21 Sec. 6 (a)(2). Immediately following all of the promises in the bill that only illegal aliens that claim they are under 30, claim they have been in the US 5 years, and claim they were brought here by others when they were under 16, and claim they are going to college or into the military, the waiver allows all of these considerations to be dropped.

"(2) WAIVER.—With respect to any benefit under this section and sections...the Secretary of Homeland Security may waive the... ground of inadmissibility ...and the ground of deportability... for humanitarian purposes or family unity or when it is otherwise in the public interest."

This provision will grant the Obama administration the power to declare full amnesty for the 12 to 20 million adult illegal immigrants in America!

"Most of America has been suckered into thinking this Dream Act Amnesty cloture vote will just be about a subsection of illegal aliens brought here as kids and that's a lie," said William Gheen. "Americans need to call the Senate today to oppose this bill because it gives the Obama administration the power to grant Amnesty to tens of millions of illegals who will in turn destroy the borders of the United States."

Gosh, I didn’t see my senators, Boxer and Feinstein, on that list. Must have been an oversight.

Not a rhetorical question: how much attention are Rush and Mark Levin giving to DREAM? From what I can tell, not much. But that's just my impression from searching the web and talking to listeners -- I don't listen to radio. And that is what worries me more than anything else, the lack of intensity from our side, at least from what I can see.

There are reasons for hope, though. Scott Brown, from liberal Mass., is against it. A lot of Democrat Senators up for reelection in '12 are from states with high unemployment. Harry Reid hasn't been able to ram it through so far, and this going to a vote without opportunity for amendments (I think), which should alienate Snowe and Collins. The lame-duck scheduling will hopefully offend moderates who have any shred of decency. Jeff Sessions, as always, is leading the opposition. My two Senators are firmly decided, so I've been pounding everybody on Roy Beck's lists.

The DREAMers aren't averse to calling Senators outside of the states they live in occupy. You shouldn't be either. My two Senators are decided and unmoveable, so I've called everyone from Bill Nelson to Ben Nelson.

Not that I am aware. What about any of the possible Republican presidential nominees for 2012?

If the true nature of this amnesty was known, then maybe. The problem is most Americans seem to be unaware of just how destructive it really is, and the msm aren’t about to inform them of the truth. Even the conservative media and leaders are saying little to nothing.

Emergency!!!Just read on another site. Another front has opened up.

"The DREAM act has been hidden in H.R.5281 "Removal Clarification Act of 2010". This bill is having differences resolved and is about to pass.

Bill Summary & Status 111th Congress (2009 - 2010) H.R.5281 CRS Summary

Check about 1/3 of the way down, Thanks Harry for hiding this in a non-issue bill."

The response I received from Senator Webb of Virginia:

Dear Mrs. ********:

Thank you for contacting me to express your views on the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act (S. 729), commonly known as the DREAM Act. Senators Dick Durbin and Richard Lugar introduced this bipartisan bill, which has been referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Since Virginians elected me to the U.S. Senate, I have tried to be a voice of reason on immigration reform issues. For example, I voted for $3 billion in emergency border security funding, which will help improve our national security. Additionally, I have supported increased employer sanctions for companies that hire undocumented workers. In 2007, I voted against a comprehensive immigration bill that would have given legal status to 12 to 20 million undocumented persons in the United States. These policy positions are guided by my belief that fundamental fairness should be applied to U.S. immigration policy.

As you may be aware, the DREAM Act would provide a path to legalization (opportunity to apply for a “green card”) for some undocumented persons who were brought to the United States as children. Under this bill’s provisions, these persons would be allowed to legalize their status only if they graduate from high school, serve in the military or attend college, maintain good moral character, and do not commit crimes. The DREAM Act would allow legalization only for persons who were brought into the United States as children and would not cover children who enter the United States in the future.

In 2006, the full Senate - including both of Virginia’s senators - unanimously approved the DREAM Act by a voice vote. After careful analysis, I voted to move toward final passage of this bill in 2007. I voted this way mainly because the DREAM Act gives a narrow one-time window for a limited number of young people to apply for their green cards. I note that many Senators from both sides of the aisle supported moving forward on the DREAM Act in hopes of making further improvements to the bill. I agreed with that spirit of bipartisan compromise. While the 2007 version of the bill garnered both Democratic and Republican bi-partisan majority support in the Senate, it ultimately failed to reach the 60 votes needed to invoke cloture, and was not passed.

Please be assured that your views on the DREAM Act are helpful to me and my staff. Additionally, please know that as the Senate continues to consider general immigration reform proposals, I will advocate for fair and effective immigration policies.

Thank you once again for contacting my office. I hope that you will continue to share your views with me and my staff in the years ahead. I would also invite you to visit my website at www.webb.senate.gov for regular updates about my activities and positions on matters that are important to Virginia and our nation.

Sincerely,

Jim Webb
United States Senator

They will segue the Dream Act into full blown Amnesty. Then we are done. This is the most important vote this year - after Healthcare. If they pass this, we are forever dem. . and doomed. Pray and keep calling. .

I called a bunch of them. Their mail boxes are supposedly full or they aren’t even taking messages.

A couple of them invite comments on their senate websites, so I guess that’s the next thing to do.

They should be at senate.gov.

That’s how the rats operate. They keep bringing up the same issues over and over until people become used to the idea - anesthetized, sort of, and then just give in because the people come to think it’s inevitable because of the repetitive hounding.

Good observations. And look at the timing of this vote—the week before Xmas and all through the House, not a Dem brain was working, not one louse.

Actually wasn’t planning to go that route...How did we become responsible for the sins of their parents ? As I’ve said, I can swallow the dream act whole as soon as a provision is added requiring voluntary deportation of every illegal relative, especially the parents, of the freebie recipients.
