PANAMA CITY, Fla. — A gunman has opened fire during a Florida Panhandle school board meeting. It's not immediately known if there were fatalities or injuries.
A WMBB television reporter at Tuesday's meeting says the man came up to the podium at the Bay District School Board meeting and said he had a motion. He then pulled out a can of red spray paint and painted a "V" with a circle around it.
Reporter Nadeen Yanes tells her station he then pulled out a handgun and started talking.
Yanes says a school board member hit the gunman with her purse and he pushed her to the ground and started firing randomly.

Because, at the range EVERYBODY is a "gunman".
I despise the media drumbeat about "gunman" this, "gunman" that, as if there were no better term to use. The "gun" is the only significant thing to them, and we know why.
Keep an eye out for the particular SSRI this guy was put on recently.

Obviously this story is incorrect. Schools are, after all, gun free zones. Let me guess....none of the actual SANE, law abiding people there was armed and therefore able to take this nut out, right??!!
ABC just reported that the gunman was shot by police.
No report of blanks.
I guess the superintendent just can’t figure out “that he got lucky”.

They just showed video and it looks like a Glock. You can clearly see a shell casing ejecting as he points the gun at the superintendent. The super dodges but it looks like the shot just missed from only around two feet away.

They just showed the video right up until the guy was shot. The superintendent is an incredibly brave man. Several times he asks the shooter to let the others go.
You are also right, the super is incredibly lucky. Also some woman showed incredible spunk tho maybe a bit of foolishness as she comes up behind him and hits him. The shooter knocks her down but doesn’t harm her. Another brave woman comes partly up and asks if he will let her help the woman who is down. He never lets her but the woman finally gets up and gets away and the other woman follows her.
A really bunch of brave people.
He should have been more discrete, that’s all.
