The covert operations that target Irans nuclear program suddenly came to light with explosive violence and stunning implications for the future of warfare on Nov. 29.
On that Monday morning, dawn had just broken over a bustling Tehran......among rows of new and half-finished apartment blocks, the nuclear physicist Majid Shahriari was working his way through rush-hour traffic with his wife and bodyguard in his Peugeot sedan. A motorcycle pulled up beside the scientists car. Nothing extraordinary about that. But then the man on the bike stuck something to the outside of the door and sped away. When the magnetically attached bomb went off, its focused explosion killed Shahriari instantly. It wounded the others in the car but spared their lives. A clean hit.
Only a few minutes later and a few miles away, in a leafy neighborhood in the foothills of the Alborz Mountains, again a motorcycle pulled alongside the car of another scientist, Fereydoun Abbasi Davani. A longtime member of Irans Revolutionary Guards, Abbasi Davani was named specifically in a United Nations sanctions resolution as involved in nuclear or ballistic missile activities. Sensing what was about to happen, he stopped the car, jumped out, and managed to pull his wife to safety before the bomb went off.
That same morning, in Israel, where many see Irans nuclear program as a threat to the very existence of the Jewish state, nobody celebrated the Tehran attacks publicly. Nobody claimed responsibility. But nobody denied it, either. And as it happened, that was the morning Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Meir Dagan would be stepping down after eight years directing the Mossad and its secret operations against Iran. Under a photograph of Shahriaris thoroughly perforated Peugeot, one of Israels tabloids ran the headline LAST SHOT FOR DAGAN?

But a computer worm may be the scarier threat....Some press reports suggest that Stuxnet, too, is an Israeli weapon. They point to Tel Avivs prowess in computer science, especially in highly secretive groups like Unit 8200, the Israeli militarys legendary cyber outfit. They point to some code in Stuxnet that might suggest the date on which a prominent Jewish businessman was executed in Tehran in 1979, or the name Myrtus, which could be construed as a reference to Esther, the biblical Jewish queen of Persia who stopped a genocide, and so on.
If it is Israeli, at least the good guys have it.
That is real a shame\s
Act of God! And he is just warming up.
Thank God someone is killing Iran’s nuclear scientists. We all know what they intend to do with it.
When you have a country full of people that salivate at the chance to ‘wipe Israel off the map’ it ain’t for regular power plants.
And it is OUR problem because if WE (USA) aren’t out of the way, they won’t do it. The first people hit will be us by a high altitude burst for the EMP knockout. THEN Israel’s next.
I hope whoever’s taking them out are incredibly blessed and successful. May they get every single one they attempt to go after, and then some. May STUXNET screw up their systems forever. God bless whoever built that.
Kill a hand full of scientists now or see 400,000 civilians die in a nuclear war. Your choice.
Don’t forget the bio and chem guys either.
Esther not only stopped a genocide of the jews under the Medes/Persians, the jews were able to arm themselves and defend themselves against ANYONE who would come up against them. It literally turned the tables on all those folks who were just hoping to be able to come out under the force of law and gut the jews.

Iran has no means of delivering an EMP knockout.
How many virgins will the guys on the motorcycles get?
Who would gain the most if they did?
*
I’m sure the idea appeals to many across the globe. But the better question is who would try such a thing?
Well that’s a shame....
Well that’s a shame....
CIA/Mossad cooperation?
Mossad, yep. CIA, nope, too stupid.
CIA/Mossad cooperation?
CIA....probably not. If 0bama and his crowd got wind of something like that, the’d leak it to The New York Times right away and stop it ASAP..
Missile launched on converted barge ship in international waters. Something they’ve been practicing for several years. They’ve gotten new missile technology from N Korea over the recent years. It is not out of the realm of possibility. All they need is the weaponized uranium.
Not the CIA, if Obama has anything to do with it, he WANTS a nuclear Iran.
His goal?
To reduce Israeli and US power.
Someone at a certain building in Tel Aviv. A three year old could figure this out.
Sounds good for a book plot but not a likely real situation.
Good article from Newsweek regarding the motorcycle bombers and the Stuxnet worm. There are definitely some unsung heros lurking around Iran’s nuclear program.
It would be to their BFF leftileak.
You’ll know it is the CIA when they:
a) blow themselves up,
b) leaving behind their laptop with all sorts of US secrets on the hard drive, in the clear,
c) and they hit the wrong target to boot.
“CIA/Mossad cooperation?”
Two Israeli girl scouts could take a bus to Langley and ruinate the entire CIA with a sack of rubber bands.
The CIA have proved that once competence reaches zero, it is actually possible to break through to some quantum realm of anti-competence. Do de name Plame ring a bell? And she was their stud.
Pack of leftard, shiny-loafered, chair-warming, time serving capons. I wouldn’t trust a single one of them to go to McDonalds on a lunch run and get the orders right.
We need to fire each and every one of them, top to bottom, then find our generation’s Wild Bill Donovan and have him rebuild it.
That’s the beauty of Stuxnet. It apparently did more than overspeed the gas centrifuges, it also swept up information about the program (including the names of the players) and sent it back to home base. The entire Iran nuke program is compromised and Israel now knows where all the facilities are and who is running day-to-day affairs.
Agree
Can we all collectively breathe a sigh of relief?
Asymmetric warfare
Two scientists do mot make a pogrom...Let me know when 70% of the Bushier plant staff have been wiped out.
Oh wow...I can live with that!
They were aliens from another planet, they were sent here through a “Stargate”.
They have the powers of seeing Earths future, though they cannot tell those of Earth what the future will be they can act as agents to prevent the future collision of those that gain power and can travel back to their planet with evil intentions.
Makes me think maybe I’madinnerjug is rebelling against the New World Order rulers. Maybe. Not obeying them?
But why would they even bother with EMP, assuming for a minute they could get it to work? Are they going to invade after the attack? Wouldn't a conventional nuke delivered by boat to some harbor serve their purposes just as well?
And not even in their wildest dream can they expect to knock out our entire retaliation force. Allah better have a real good supply of virgins on hand.
And a whole bunch of testing or computer time to get any kind of efficient explosion (not that they would necessarily care).
Wonder if Stuxnet also attacks nuclear computer simulations? Stuxnet II?
Iran has no means of delivering an EMP knockout.
>>
You mean *yet.*
That wasn’t STUXNET, that was Wikileaks.... :0D
And not even in their wildest dream can they expect to knock out our entire retaliation force. Allah better have a real good supply of virgins on hand.
The point is to kill as many as possible - the more blood the better -— doesn't matter whose - Americans, Israelis, Italians (in Rome) or Iranians - the blood in sufficient quantities is what will lore the little guy (the 12th Imam) out of the well he disappeared into 1000+ years ago. and herald the Global Caliphate which will bring the entire human race into glorious Paradise (by killing everyone).
The ruling mullahs are real 1st class wack jobs - they do not want a military victory as you might indicate, they just want millions dead. Obtaining and using nuclear weapons are just the means to that end.
Yes. That is pretty much the point I was trying to make, that their aim is to damage us or our interests in whatever way possible.
However, I don’t think the mullahs are crazy enough to start a nuclear war with only one or two nukes that they can only deliver by boat. The way I see it, the mullahs/imams are basically politicians. Their rise to power was calculated, ergo they aren’t completely insane.
Thanks for the ping; post; thread. Very interesting.
Because it is a choice between killing thousands now, or millions over the longer term.
a HEMP attack can affect an area of thousands of square miles. A ground blast, maybe tens of square miles.
A HEMP attack cn disable all or most electronic items over those thousands of square miles, and while it may not kill anyone in the immediate, there would be no more electricty to run the infrastructure, so no gasoline, no water, no hospitals, no police, no ambulance, no news from the outside word, no anything-that relies-on-electricity.
I posit that a HEMP attack would have a far larger impact on America than a localized nulcear burst. If I were Iran, I would consider it the best bang for the buck, especially since they will only possess one and at best two nuclear weapons.
zatso?
We told ourselves that Japanese couldn't fly airplanes because they had no natural sense of balance.
How'd that work out for us?
I'd recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.
It looks like Israel has to go the covert route with mossad because they know Hussein and the rest of his Commie jew hating leftists in his Administration would put the kibosh on any overt military action. Ogabe probably told BB he'd shoot his planes out of the sky.
דֶּרֶךְ צְלֵחָה to Israel......kill them all, let allah sort em out.
