I was hoping that they would give the Speakership to Michele Bachmann.

I’d love to see a Palin/Bachmann ticket in 2012.

“Some of the people I see in the national spotlight who look tough enough to handle leadership roles in the republican party are women like Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann.”

Well, Palin could not even handle the governorship of Alaska (she quit in the middle of the job), and she did not have enough sense to stay off of reality TV. Tough and smart, huh? Maybe she’ll quit the reality show during the middle of the season and join her daughter on some freak dancing show!

Michele Bachman, you say? That would be the same Michele Bachman who said “100% of our economy was private” before September 2008? That kind of ditzy remark is just what we need from the face of the conservative movement.

I like Palin and Bachmann and would vote for either of them for Congresswoman or Governor. For President, I would prefer more substance and experience. Boehnor has a lot more of both than does either of them.

We need a man in John Boehner’s position who apears and acts like a strong leader. John Boehner is a man who imbibes, and cannot hold his melancholy, and may be suffering from depression. Thus, he appears weak and foolish to our enemy in particular, and to the rest of us who look to him as a leader.

I also remember reading about General U.S. Grant, who imbibed while leading soldiers to victories during the Civil War. When it was reported to President Lincoln that Grant was drinking to intoxication on the job, President Lincoln said he'd like to know what Grant was drinking, so that he, Lincoln, could give it to the rest of his generals.

I pray that Mr. Boehner seeks the assistance he needs to overcome these obsticles.

I haven’t watched these network skanks in a few years -

They act as if someone somewhere cares what they say - Leslie Stahl - oh so serious - with her botox and hatchet interview -

No credibility - no interesting analysis. No reason to watch. Libtard trash - but i love the oh so serious demeanor.

One of the toughest guys that I ever knew cried quite often. And he was a WW2 vet who could rip just about any man's head off and spit down his neck if he chose to.

My cousin served in Viet Nam and he was a crier too. The only thing was that when he teared up you knew that one or more people were about to get their A$$ whipped.

There is nothing wrong with it as long as it doesn't cloud his mind.

We’ve gone over this hundreds of times here and there’s no point arguing it again. Gov. Palin said everything there is to say about how we should evaluate Boehner when she was talking about Kate Gosselin. “Life=10% circumstances, 90% your reaction to circumstances.” Boehner is balling about his circumstances (something he can’t change), his humble upbringing, his mistreatment by Obama, when he should be reacting (doing something). Maybe his reaction will come, but if it’s agreeing to another trillion in spending, then he’s just another RINO.

One of those WW2 vets was a guy George S Patton, known to cry copiously in the presence of those who he considered to be honorably wounded or KIA (had a bit of a problem with combat fatigue cases though).

I thought Leslie Stahl was annoying in in this interview. . . . and her hair was horrible.

That's actually a liberal unisex hair style, believe it or not. I've seen it all over, for the last few years. Chopped funny, combed in every direction, then finished off with the vacuum cleaner. Disgusting.

And yes, Leslie Stahl was predictably annoying, and took advantage of Speaker Boehner's strong emotional feelings. She spent more time commenting on, and drawing attention to that little proclivity of his, than anything of real substance.

A covert hit piece, if I ever saw one.

I think he is a humble man who appreciates the honor that his country has presented him.

It is only when those humble beginnings assert themselves that he emotes. The ObamaMedia exploits it.

Lefties NEVER tear up; never; because there is NOTHING bigger than themselves and nothing 'authentic' that can resonate and thus they can never be humbled, by such feelings that 'American Dream' draw on; nor the patriotism/altruism that accompanies such.

I hate every inch of what these people stand for; because they stand collectively - and so, alone - in the vacuum of a morally vacant universe of Self. That said; don't want Boehner's salting up to be a future indicator of a 'less than tough' and agressive MO. But already, fearing such. . .

(Ohio boy meets Marxist Kenyan/Chicago player and professional psycho narcississt. The man who is called 'President' but considers himself 'King'. ) No golf game needed, Mr. Boehner to 'know' this man!
