I watched one of Palin’s episodes last night and was pleasantly surprised with it as a matter of getting a good look at Alaska, its people and the Palin family. But I agree that too much of the reality television formula detracts from Sarah’s credibility if she runs for President. It feeds into her critics’s claim that she is an inexperienced, empty-headed lightweight.

No, quite the opposite.

It shows her as a real-life person who can deal with cry-babies like Kate Gosselin and puts people like her in the proper prespective.

After watching the scene of Kate's meltdown and how Sarah handles by basically saying "quit yer cryin'", all I have for Sarah is respect.

This TLC show was a wise move on her part because she is able to reach a segment of the American electorate in a format that is under her control and they understand.

These shows are nothing but a win for Sarah.

I agree!! The best part of Palin is she is NOT a lawyer, and she did not attend one of the eastern schools, ala Harvard, Yale of Princeton!! In my book, that earns her big marks. Sarah Palin is an all American gal, down to earth, smart, intelligent to a mark and able to think on her feet. She doesn’t need teleprompters to remark without (fillers) and pays attention when the red flags come up. We faulted our MSM bigtime because they did not VENT the current resident of the White House properly!! Well, watch just one episode of Palin’s Alaska, and you will know immediately that this small, beautiful, smart and tough dame can handle anything and won’t pale when anyone has the sass to call her a dame. I’m betting she will love it, yet the name Madam President would go well in her world also.

You won't get much of an argument here. On the other hand, that might not be a good thing, because if it turns out differently, there will be a lot of shocked people wondering why nobody knew...

When I first heard she was going to do a reality show, I thought that was the end of Sarah Palin.

But, I don't understand the popularity of reality shows. I also didn't appreciate how popular Facebook and Twitter would be, either.

Sarah Palin, on the other hand, apparently does understand. She's used both to her advantage. So, I'm going to trust her instincts about her Alaska reality program and watch to see the results.

So far, the results for her brand of out of the GOP box thinking have been impressive.
