Oh, I’ll bet they were. Say what you will about Axe, Gibbsy, and the rest of the crew, but I’d like to think they have the basic political common sense to avoid photo ops where the president has to skip out after a minute or two to go eat gingerbread cookies.

Hoo boy! A thousand Freepers and lurkers just read that, and started salivating at the mere thought of it.
I've been one of the crowd who has hypothesized that Obama won't make it to the end of his term. Not only does he not have what it takes to do the job, he's re-ignited our inner Minuteman, and nearly caused the complete collapse of his party. I'm sure that a lot of heavy players on his side want to see him go. Some of them are probably even maneuvering him in that direction.

The congress’ price for a DADT and tax bill and budget and dream act may be Obama’s head on a platter after the historic shellacking the dems got in the election, while Hillary hid out overseas. The Wiki leak that destroyed her seems to be a retaliation for her not helping with the election, and to make sure she does not emerge again in 2012. One can only hope that we end up with Biden instead of Pelosi - think about that. Things are really out of control on capitol hill, and the wookie looks like she has had enough of the whole scene. It would not surprise me in the least for Omullah to abdicate on Sunday and Biden be sworn in.

It may turn out to be the most incredible faux pas ever committed by a sitting President. I have been following politics for 50 years now, since I was 10 years old when I worked at an “Elect Nixon President” headquarters in 1960 (stamping envelopes) and have never seen anything like this. We shall see what happens.
