AP: NJ Man Dies While Putting "Holiday Lights" On Home

I was pressure washing a house and while on the roof washing the second story wall...10 foot up...I knocked my ladder off. It took me at least half an hour to finally hook my PW hose to the ladder and draw it back to where I could get myself down....NO, I could not jump, as I have a surgically repaired ankle...4 foot and higher drop, doc says I need a replacement. Got that from ......sliding off of a shake roof when it started raining while I was working. Sometimes you have to work, and there is no one around.

When younger, I worked on smoke stacks for pulp mills. The most frightening part was when we started removing the scaffolding. We were only 200' up, but dismantling and dropping the frames down one level was freaky.

Those guys climbing the antenna, they may as well brought parachutes and dropped off when they are finished. They must be incredibly strong and agile. The lower guy looked like he might have some grey in his hair.....THAT'S crazy.

That’s the Little Giant Ladder that I have. But I don’t generally use it like a straight ladder like that.
