A top incoming House GOP chairman asked Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Sunday evening to review whether Wikileaks can be declared a foreign terrorist organization (FTO).

Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.), the incoming chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, called for U.S. officials to get aggressive against Wikileaks after the website published highly-sensitive, classified diplomatic cables that reveal frank assessments of foreign leaders and the war on terror.

"I am calling on the attorney general and supporting his efforts to fully prosecute Wikileaks and its founder for violating the Espionage Act. And I'm also calling on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to declare Wikileaks a foreign terrorist organization," King said on WNIS radio on Sunday evening.

If WikiLeaks is a terrorist organization, then so is every domestic media outlet that purposefully and willfully publishes leaked classified information. That includes the Washington Post and the New York Times.

Perhaps Rep. King's ire should be focused at the individuals within the government that keep leaking this information instead. Why is no one asking the question "Why is 0bama himself allowing these leaks?" Ultimately, the buck stops with him.

Information flows pretty freely in the 21st century. It's hard to stop it. I see two options:

1) Free speech. We have no secrets. If an activist uncovers a secret and wants to tell the world, we can just shrug.
2) We find people who do this and we kill them. Then, people will stop doing this.

3) Secrets lead to corruption.....exposing that corruption is ALWAYS a good thing. (as long as soldiers lives are not at risk)

More importantly if these are, indeed, leaks, who is providing the information? That is what needs to be determined and so determined ASAP.

Brings to mind this left-wing SOB...

"Daniel Ellsberg (born April 7, 1931) is a former American military analyst employed by the RAND Corporation who precipitated a national political controversy in 1971 when he released the Pentagon Papers, a top-secret Pentagon study of government decision-making about the Vietnam War, to The New York Times and other newspapers."

The RCP calls for the armed overthrow of the U.S. government...

From the website of the Revolutionary Communist Party (revcom.us or rwor.org) :

"Create Public Opinion, Seize Power: We are preparing minds and organizing forces for the time when there is a major crack in the system, whenever it comes and wherever it comes from: an opening that makes it possible to bring the future Revolutionary Army of the Proletariat (R.A.P.) into the field and wage a revolutionary armed struggle that actually has a chance of winning.

And we have said that building our party itself is the most important part of organizing forces for revolution. This is true now, and it is true looking forward to the creation of that future R.A.P. and the waging of that armed struggle.":

That’s a big caveat you’ve got there, as long as lives aren’t at risk. Furthermore, while I can see your point, sometimes discretion keeps bad things from happening without necessarily leading to corruption. As an example, suppose the the Pakistani government is actually trying to keep a lid on extremists, but would lose popular support and possibly be toppled if active cooperation with the US were disclosed. Then you have extremists with nukes - with no American lives lost in the immediate process, it’s a domestic affair. But many jeopardized subsequently.

He's not an American citizen, so it's not treason. It is, however, unauthorized possession of US Secret Material, and we do have an extradition agreement with Australia.

Normal criminal prosecution should be able to extinguish this bug.

These documents were not MILITARY documents, they were STATE DEPARTMENT DOCUMENTS.

Now, who is the SECRETARY OF STATE?

How in the world can an army private have access to all of these classified state department documents? No way. And they picked a gay private who they are saying has been jilted, and he’s in solitary confinement so he can’t say anything in response to the allegations.

I have been beating this drum for more than a year. BO, his cabinet and his czars are the #1 threats to national security. We must ask, where did wikileaks actually get this information to leak?? What other national security concerns are being leaked to America’s enemies and who are doing the deeds? BO, his czars, and cabinet members have all of our secrets in archive. Make no mistake, these anti-american politicians are selling and giving away security secrets at a record rate.
