Rove: Sarah Palin Needs To Show She Can "Unify" Republicans
realclearpolitics ^

Posted on 11/26/2010 2:02:46 PM PST by ChicagoConservative27

Karl Rove discusses Sarah Palin's book tour and a possible presidential run. Palin will be doing three book tour events in Iowa, which Rove calls a "smart move."

"She's got a problem with Independents and she has a problem with Democrats," Rove said about Palin's rating with these groups.

So… Rove expects Democrats to vote for Republicans? Really? No wonder Bush kept pushing statist programs.

Someone who has a backbone
Someone who isn’t in the “mushy middle”
Someone who can communicate a vision and inspire
Someone who fights
Someone who can fire up the base

If 2010 was any indication, a lot who voted for zero will be looking for someone else. I call that an opportunity.

Rove really hasn’t ever focused on uniting Republicans. How would he know if that was at all necessary.

“The Republicans” are already unified. It’s called the TEA Party. The establishment RINOs need to make up their minds as to whose side they are going to be on. Are they going to join with us in retoring the republic or are they going to go down the road to serfdom with the DemocRATS.

Sarah Palin also has a problem with Karl Rove....he doesn’t want her breaking up the Old Boys Club in the GOP hierarchy. You know, the one that gave us John McCain and Bob Dole and hopes to foist Mitt Romney on Republican primary voters. Not this time, Karl. Sarah Palin is going to change the game and doesn’t need your approval to do so. She already has ours.

Rove has a problem with a Woman as a Leader. That is plain to see. every week he seems to have nothing good to say. I mean why not use all that negativity and devote it to Odumbo the Shitcago/DC Clown. Rove why do you not spend the time going over the OdumboCare Bill.

You spend more time shooting off your mouth about Palin. why not take the time to speak to her in person instead of snide attack and another snide attack. Take the time to talk to the person that your continually badmouthing. maybe the problem is with youyourself Rove. Get over yourself, once and for all.

I DO get the impression you are not a big Romney fan ;-)

One thing I think is true: Palin will do it HER way if she does run. I believe her when she says she hasn’t made a decision yet, because I just don’t think she is driven in the same power-crazy way most politicians are (look at Charlie Crist for an example). She doesn’t see it as her “right” or her destiny, and I think she’d be happier to follow her own instincts and lose than be managed and manipulated by the likes of Karl Rove and win.

Rove: Sarah Palin Needs To Show She Can "Unify" Republicans

She just did, and pansy RINOs like Tokyo Rove are messing their panties about it.

In spite of the combined opposition of Democrats and RINOs, Sarah and the TEA Party patriots pulled off the biggest nationwide conservative election wins in history, more than 700 Republican victories across the nation.

"She's got a problem with Independents and she has a problem with Democrats,"

Yeah, the stupid and evil don't like her very much, and won't like her very much until she late-term-aborts Trig on TV with Katie Couric holding the kid down.

So since that's rather unlikely to happen, eff the Democrats and mush-brained "independents" (Democrats who accidentally bumped up against someone with a job once), and let them pick their own leaders like Obama, Pelosi, Biden, and the other stupid/evil meat puppets.

Here are the folks that Palin needs to unify:

1)GOP conservatives otherwise known as the base; they comprise roughly 70% of the GOP

2)Libertarians

3)Independent conservatives which now comprise 36% of all conservatives

4)Reagan Democrats (conservative Dems)

5)the 15% of the Hispanic community which calls themselves evangelicals and are not RC (Mark Salter claims these folks are what brought Bush victory in 2004)

6)pro-life groups and other conservative advocacy groups

7)Right wing talk radio

8)conservative gays

9)PUMA’s (e-Hillary Clinton supporters)

10)Patriotic/national defense oriented Americans

YUPPERS! RINO's don't unite...they don't want to bring conservatives into the tent except for the votes. Then we get treated like the red headed stepchild.

FWIW Santorum was on Fox today and was asked about running. His response was something like...he'd have to look and see what issues/values most concern The People.

Ricky...you have it backwards. YOU have to have the values and address the issues FIRST!

What a jackwagon!

Karl, Sarah scares the hell out of you because you have no clue as to how to ‘control’ her. Every effort that you've made so far to diminish her has blown up in your face and has only made her stronger. You've got a real problem here, fat boy. Well folks in case you haven’t figured out Obama has a way bigger problem with INDEPENDENTS, Republicans and conservatives.

Rove reminds me of DemocRATS.

That put so much importance on "unity" but they are never the ones who are expected to change their beliefs in order to bring this UNITY about.

It's always the other guy.

Well, I got a question for Karl. Why don't you tell your fellow RINOs to unite behind Sarah?

What is it that they want that they wouldn't get from her? Low taxes? She's all for low taxes. Smaller government? She's all for smaller government. Less regulations? She all for less regulations?

So what's left, Karl? What are the issues RINOs are worried that Sarah won't promote?

I wonder what is is about the so-called independent voter that makes them so coveted and important.

I haven’t given in years, but maybe we should all become Independents and tell the RNC we’re voting for Palin when they call for a donation.

Speaking to Karl Rove: “Sir, Sarah Palin is not the problem. RINOs like Karl Rove are the problem. When RINOs don't get their way, RINOs throw hissy fits and then sabotage the conservative candidate so the Donkey wins the election. In RINO-speak, it's better to elect a Donkey than one of those “evil” conservatives. Karl Rove has no principles.

“Unify Republicans”, eh Karl? You mean the same ‘Republicans’ who are working overtime behind the scenes to take her down? They are as diabolical, if not more so, than the Dims. The R’s at least are supposed to be on the same general side. But these guys have become masters of the anonymous source, off the record put down. Gutless wonders they are. Well, once they stop trying to DESTROY her, I’m sure we can all ‘get along’.

Actually, though, they are the ones who need to unify with conservative Tea Party principles. I didn’t cast MY votes for the same old garbage they want to dish out. Once they figure out who and what actually won during the mid-terms, maybe everyone can get together and have a chat.
