Karl Rove discusses Sarah Palin's book tour and a possible presidential run. Palin will be doing three book tour events in Iowa, which Rove calls a "smart move."
"She's got a problem with Independents and she has a problem with Democrats," Rove said about Palin's rating with these groups.

That right there is where Karl Rove is lying, and so are the polls. Independent does not equal moderate, and that is where the polls are lying.
When the pollsters say "x percentage of moderates do not like Palin", what they are saying is that "x percentage of moderate Democrats and liberal Republicans do not like Palin", but they follow up with a totally unrelated conclusion such as, "Palin must improve her numbers among independents", which is not indicated at all from their polling questions and responses. That's how the polling game is played.
Independents are the notorious swing voters, who tend to go back and forth between the lesser of two evils, until they are given a distinctly different choice, as they were in so many of these mid-term races, and they chose the "conservative" candidates in the vast majority of these mid-term races.
Palin does better than OK among independents, and probably better than most among "moderate" Democrats (which are generally the Reagan Democrats). She may not do as well among the liberal Republicans (like Rove), but that bunch of noisy, squishy Republicans only makes up about five percent of Republican voters.
Otherwise, Tokyo Rove and his RINO friends would be totally ignoring Sarah Palin, and letting her run and lose in the primaries and caucuses. Rove knows Palin is going to run, and that she is going to win, both the primaries and the general election, and he and his corrupt bunch will get cut out of tons of ill-gotten gain.
The mere suggestion has me laughing seriously hard. I'd almost pay to see that. She has a right cross that rattles distant bones, and she absolutely does not suffer bullsh*t. I dated her for six months before I got a peck on the cheek. No lie.
Anybody "swoops in" once I'm gone (she is many years my junior), they'd better keep their chin down tight.

It’s a trap. Rove doesn’t like Sarah anymore than he liked Christine O’Donnell. HE certainly doesn’t have her best interests at heart. He will likely be in the corner of a Mitch Daniels, Mitt Romney or perhaps Tim Pawlenty when the time comes. But he WON’T be with Sarah. And he doesn’t want to help her in the meantime.
A Palin candidacy would be a stick in the eye to the ‘Establishment’, to the ‘Elites’, to the ‘Socialists’, to the ‘Libtards’, to the ‘RATs’, to the ‘RINOs’, and to anyone else out there who even THINKS that there is a better CONSERVATIVE candidate with past Executive experience that is still ‘alive’ and their name is not Ronald Reagan!

The drive for unit got us John McCain in 2008. Twelve years earlier it got us Bob Dole because it was “His turn”.
Excuse me, I want ideas from people who have done something in the last 25 years other than being a politician. Look at how much our society has changed in 25 years. How can we expect a person who has lived inside the beltway for most of that time have any understanding of what we, The People, are worried about?
Sorry Karl, we are seeing the beginning of a systemic change in American Politics. Your model is no longer functional so please don't tell me what a “Post-TEA Party” candidate has to do. That makes as much sense as a buggy whip manufacturer telling Henry Ford how to make accelerators for his cars.
Karl needs to show me that he can shut if fat mouth long enough to figure out that Romney is dead meat. If they put up Romney, they are giving the Presidency to the Dems for another four years.
Actually, every candidate gets votes from the other party’s registered voters.
For example, Christine O’Donnell got 9% of the Democrat’s votes in Delaware. However, to win in Delaware, you need a LOT more democrats to vote for you, because they have a huge registration edge.
In contrast, Rand Paul got 24% of the democrats in Kentucky.
Rove is absolutely right that to win the presidency, you need to convince independents and democrats to vote for the conservative candidate. Ronald Reagan did it — that’s how he won 49 states.

In Florida, conservative Rubio got 8% of the democrat vote. Rand Paul got 24% of the democrat vote in Kentucky. And in Wisconson, Johnson got 8%. O’Donnell got 9% in her losing effort in Delaware. And DeMint got 14% of the democratic vote in South Carolina.
So you are wrong. Democrats WILL vote for a conservative. And I bet if you look at exit polls from 2006, you’ll find that Sarah Palin got democratic votes for Governor.
Republicans are a minority of registered and likely voters. Conservatives are a minority of voters. Nobody is going to win the Presidency without appealing to independents and democrats.
The key is to do so without compromising your principles. Ronald Reagan did it. SO it can be done.

Because the GOP comprises Conservatives, Soros operatives, and the new world order crowd, which also has its factions. It’s not divided; it’s shattered. Without the TEA party, the Republicans would never win again, by you-know-whose design. Rove is NWO. Sarah, be strong.
He keeps talking about Sarah dividing the Republicans...I think he and the elite, like him, hatch, cornyn, and a few other professional elected are the dividers. Us in flyover America are pretty straight forward conservatives. We believe in the constitution, the right to work, we’re the ones who’ve worn the uniform to keep America free..have they? I think not.
