Tea party darling Rand Paul says he has assured President Barack Obama that he will engage in "a polite, civil discourse" when he arrives in Washington next month as Kentucky's newest U.S. senator. Paul had made Obama the key figure in his election campaign, criticizing many of the Democratic president's policies and initiatives. Obama reached out to Paul on Tuesday in a telephone call that the Bowling Green eye surgeon described as cordial.

We aren’t going to play the “make nice” game again, are we? Thought that’s what we were trying to stop.

“Newly elected senator Rand Paul says he has assured state controlled leftist media darling President Barack Obama that he will engage in “a polite, civil discourse” when he arrives in Washington next month as Kentucky’s newest U.S. senator.”

Not the least bit of libtard MSM bias in this lead when the A-Pee Newsers derogatorily refer to the senator elect as a "tea party darling" and imply that it is a major news story when he promises a "polite civil discourse" with the Wee Wee.

No siree, no bias here.

Rand Paul is the T.E.A. party darling?

When did this occur? I didn’t get any memo.

Is it considered civil discourse to be told to ‘ride in the back’, or ‘I won’?

The old man must be so proud. This boy he raised is a scrapper. It is stating the obvious to any Freeper, but most of these politicians do not pack the intellect of a Dr. Paul.

Bull crap. Unless you mean politely reading the guy his rights prior to putting the cuffs on him you have to fight these bastards by their own rules. What's the matter, Paul, you forget “hit back twice as hard”, “we won”, “If They Bring a Knife to the Fight, We Bring a Gun” (after being the first to flash a knife, by the way), “I don't want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking” (which if not intended to mislead would have meant he never wanted to hear from Dodd and Fwank), along with the regular “in your face” rounds of golf while unemployment rises and the “stimulus” funds are frittered away to friends of various Barry Soetoro czars?

And what about those czars, Paul, you think you should be civil to someone the deliberately does an end run around the Senate by appointing dozens of little tin gods answerable only to him? Someone who avoids even the appearance of giving a damn about the Constitution and his oath of office isn't someone you should be civil with in any way, shape, or form. The only time you should be civil around him is when you're civil to other Republicans as you get in line for your turn yell "liar" at the guy every time he opens his mouth.

You better take some sober up pills there Rand or else them that sent you are going to be thinking your every bit as big a liar and two faced typical politician as Barry is. Even mentioning "civil discourse" with Barry is going to have a lot of people wondering if your opponent was right about one thing, your ignorance.

Regards

What you said!

But, sadly, this is our last shot. We’ve got two years. If major change away from these communists is not done within the next two years it won’t matter who’s kicked out of office in six years.

Chill out you all. Dr. Paul is probably following Winston Churchill’s sage advice.

When Churchill sent his formal declaration of war to the emperor of Japan, he signed it “Your humble and obedient servant.” The press rose up as one and said the British equivalent of WTF. Churchill famously replied: “When you’re going to kill a man, courtesy costs you nothing.”

(For Obamabot trolls, I suppose it’s necessary to add that I am speaking figuratively in terms of Dr. Paul “killing” the president.)

“When you’re going to kill a man, courtesy costs you nothing.”

I have yet to see the declaration of war or any other clear and open expression of an intention "to kill a man" much less a clear and open declaration that anyone in this whole mob of thieves and fascist thugs is going to be tried for their crimes. So far, no one is even promising to take even a minor clerk before a Roman pantomime theater troop for stern looks from the actor and harsh language from the chorus. Were the stated intentions of Paul attached to a declaration of war, I could care less about what degree of formal niceties he included.

For decades there's been far too much civility granted with very, very, little returned and that approach has led to nothing except a sense of dejected dismay descending on Republicans who treat these fascists as if they were normal, rational, fellow Americans. They are not. They and their leader are enemies of this nation and I see no reason to be kind to Emperor Barry until such time as we can magnanimously reduce his sentence to life in prison after his conviction for high treason.

"Chill out" is exactly the advice everyone followed when Republicans gained control of Congress not so very long ago and not keeping the heat on those elected as well as the opposition led to Congress returning to business as usual but with Republicans having better seats at the pig trough. If anything, it's time to turn the heat up, not chill out. Courtesy and collegial kindness are the last things I want to see flowing from the Republican majority in the House or the Republican minority in the Senate either one.

Regards

I remind you that Sens. Daschle and Reid (and Pelosi too, come to think of it) used the same sweet, complimentary, and condescending tones to Republicans right before they stabbed them in the back and screwed them senseless. Paul is not going along with that Marxist trash. While he doesn’t share the exact same political philosophy with his father, he won’t take any $hit off of that incompetent empty suit, either.

If he does, he will hear very quickly from the people who elected him: such as Yours Truly. I hope from you, also.
