Add Nigeria to the list of places that should not be allowed to ship ANYTHING to the United States: Yemen, Somalia, Sudan, Pakistan...

Better yet, divert them all for 72 hour quarantine inside the holding cell areas at Gitmo...

I would guess that dogs could do a pretty good job identifying people who shouldn't be allowed to fly.

I used to fly in and out of Toronto (Lester B. Pearson) a lot in the middle 90's. You went through U.S. customs in Toronto, not the States. A lot of Canadians and others with weed would get busted in U.S. Customs. One Canuck was busted with weed and the U.S. Customs guys forced him to go to an ATM at the airport and withdraw $200 for to pay the fine, which apparently was SOP. Anyway, when the story hit the Global and Mail there was a brew-ha-ah. They posted a Mountie with an Alsatian in the U.S. customs area to discourage people from bringing dope into the U.S. via Lester B. Pearson.

It might be a good idea to have a few credible looking Dudley Dorights with alert dogs around the airports, just to see how passengers react. People who seem unduly wary of the dogs might be subjected to further screening.
