Perhaps Olympia will just go gracefully and leave the field open?

Nah - you have to pry these fossils out of their cushy sinecures.

Time to scrape the barnacles.

Some of us are already getting warmed up to throw her out on her ass.

Without Olympia Snowe, there would be no Obamacare. She cast the lone, deciding vote that moved it out of committee. Remember that.

Yeah, she should be target number one in the GOP...when does her henchmate come up, 2014? Hopefully we still have a country by then.

Beautifully said.

The sooner we kick these parasites out of office the better. We can start with Snowe, but Collins and archjackass Lindsey Graham will be in the air before she hits the sidewalk.

Snowe might have pointed to the failed candidacy of Christine O'Donnell in Delaware and warned Tea Party activists that if they want to hand a Republican seat to the Democrats the best way to do it would be to replace her on the ballot.

Oh no I'm so scared by that scenario. Go away Snowe, just go away.

Term limits or a maximum age to run are LONG overdue.

Time for Snowe to drift away

better to have a democrat who votes like a democrat (and takes the blame for the results) than a republican who simpers and bridles at being stroked by the marxist into casting a “bipartisan” vote for financial enslavement

Best to quietly survey her state before doing anything counter productive.

Perhaps the threat of a strong opponent will keep her in line for the next two years.

LePage’s victory last week makes this possible.

If...and that is a very big IF, we can defeat Olympia Snowe in the primaries we are certain to lose in the general election.

I’m all for it in order to get a liberal Republican out of office.

Perhaps they can move the Snowe like they do in The County. That would be Aroostook County, the Crown of Maine. Scrape it up and toss it in the river for the spring meltdown.

I will work against Snowe and Collins at every chance.

I warn everyone though, in a state that sent the lapdogs Pingree and Michaud back to Washington with the large margins they sustained is not a state that will easily have the RINO leftist senatoressess lose.

Ha! She's probably already asked for a write-in or recount. These fossils just don't know when to go away gracefully.

HA!

At least if that happened, the public could properly place blame for the D replacement's voting record on RAT ideology instead of "an independent streak".

On the other hand, replacing her with a real Republican would help kill the myth that "both parties are alike".

To fend off such a challenge, Snowe might have pointed to the failed candidacy of Christine O'Donnell in Delaware and warned Tea Party activists that if they want to hand a Republican seat to the Democrats the best way to do it would be to replace her on the ballot.

Wouldn't that depend on who the Tea Party candidate was and who the Democrat candidate was? Just because Snowe isn't on the ballot doesn't mean that the Democrat is a shoe-in.

Unless, of course, she's planning to go Murkowski on us.

I hate these articles. They are meant to either stir the pot or are inside the beltway nonsense. Who is the credible challenger in Maine who can win a general election? Or is it worth losing the seat to a Democrat just to punish Snowe? Way too many conservatives live in some fantasyland where it somehow is a viable option to run anyone off the street who takes the right positions on issues. We saw that in Delaware and now perhaps we’ll see it in Maine. Focus on getting rid of Graham or other squishy Republicans in solid Republican states. And if a credible candidate emerges in Maine, by all means support them. But this hooting and hollering about getting rid of Snowe now is nonsense. And this article is nonsense too.
