Thanks for the background.

I’m thinking of Maine blue in relationship to presidential elections. I was disappointed in ME-01 and ME-02.

I know there are a lot of conservatives in the Maine interior, but again I guess it’s the coastline that holds sway.

A well organized Tea Party movement and a well organized GOP (the governor, senate and house will help greatly with that) will help hold Snowe’s feet to the fire for the next two years. If she ranges off the reservation too far, I imagine she will face a Tea Party backed primary challenger.

Anothing thing to note is that Gov-elect LePage is on good terms with Sen. Snowe. I'm sure he'll endorse her.

The Congressional races are tough. No federal incumbent has been defeated since one-term Rep. Jim Longley Jr was swept into office in '94 and ushered back out in '96.

“The democrats needed the guise of “bipartisanship”...

So, they would have let the ENTIRE BILL die in committe, because of Republican opposition. Very good comity on their part.

Rush has been on the air for 20+ years now, and I guess he still hasn’t gotten through to some conservatives just who the Democrats are and what they will do if necessary (i.e., look up Pol Pot on Wikipedia)...

Rush was just saying (on Friday I think) that Snowe was the one responsible for Obamacare.

I hear you, but she simply could not stop it in committee.

YES, I DO. Actually, to be more accurate, I KNOW that it does. This always makes me laugh. What is the big deal? Does it make your computer lock up? Why does it bother you? Am I going to stop using upper case for emphasis? NO! Get a life.

I’m not really sure why you posted the above to my FReepmail instead of responding on the thread...but please don’t.
