If Leahy loses, you can expect the Rapture to happen any minute. lol
There are many national races that haven’t been polled, and have not received much attention at all. I bet that when we wake up on Wed., November 3, we will more likely than not see folks that we’ve never heard of elected.
Maybe Representatives.
I’ve researched the senate races. Jay is not going to beat Chuck in NY. Joe Dioguardi could win. Eric could win in MD, Huffman in Oregon, Cam in Hawaii. The only name I can’t remember is the Vermont guy, and he didn’t seem too bad when I looked at him.
Yes...Representatives. There are many of them
I have no idea who is running against Leahy, but bless his/her heart for doing so...if there is such a candidate.
This is a multi-election battle. All will not be won or lost in the next 3 days. It’s too bad, too. I hate suspense. ;o)
Definitely name Democrat Reps will be losing. There are commercials running in Maine right now targeting the “Maine 2”. These are solid, but generic, ads discussing how they both voted in favor of things that aren’t popular in Maine.
If we do have a big wave election, as big as they’re talking or somehat close, both Dems will lose in Maine. One of the 2 is ahead in the polls. Pingree is pretty awful, and she’s been hit by scandals. But in the more D of the 2 districts.
Michaud is in the more R district, but he has personal popularity.
Good for whomever is funding those ads!
I’m in Oregon, so I know where you’re coming from.
It’s hard to believe that such a great thing will happen, but it will.
I don’t find it hard to believe. We’re comparing this to 94. We picked up a lot of seats - 54?, based on a reaction to Clinton. Clinton was nowhere near as bad as Obama. There were no tea parties protesting Clinton. Conservatives are much unhappier with Obama. And, the ecconomy is much worse now. Bad economies bring everyone away from the incumbent.
Bigger gains than 1994 are to be expected. How much more, who knows? Could be massive, could be over 100. The record I think is 131.

Gallup’s last poll had the Rs up + 15.
Unprecendented since the origins of that poll.
I’d keep as much optimism as you’ve expressed in check, though. It all depends on turnout.
So...TURNOUT and get your friends, FRiends and family to VOTE!
I already have my Nov. 3 headline in the hopper. ;o)
Aha! So I wasn't the only one who thought this was a weird thing for Rush to do. I can only assume he's forgotten just who/what Wallace is.
