I'm sat on a high stool at a small table, plasma screens are oozing sports programmes around my head and there is a grubby plastic menu in front of me that is littered with pictures of fast food. Not a green vegetable in sight, unless you count a deep fried chilli, coated in batter.
There is the thump, thump, thump of awful music in the background, competing with the braying of table upon table of men: young men, old men, students, office workers, football supporters...
Weaving between the tables are young women bearing enormous, overflowing jugs of beer and steaming piles of food.
It's HEAVEN!

The name itself is trashy as is the Hooters logo. You’d figure that out if you had any street smarts.
Same as a club called Peckers with guys in speeds would be.
That said I wouldn’t patronize one but I’m not going to bother myself about its existence.

This is the episode “Raisins” that makes fun of Hooters. It shows what is going on there.
One step up from a strip club for lonely guys without many opportunities to see or interact with a beautiful woman who (for the sake of professionalism and tips) has to act like they LIKE them.
How pitiful.

LOL. I'm just saying that it is NOT a family restaurant.Most kids won't get it anyways. My girlfriend and I go there from time to time, and I haven't seen any of the rowdy behavior you and the author did. It seems to me to be a little bit of hype; there wasn't anything offensive going on; the skin exposure was much less than we had just got done seeing on Lake Lanier.
The food is average. The service was fine. The family in the next booth had well-behaved children. We left a normal sized tip, and went on our way.
No big whoop.
