This whole thing has me looking for fish heads.
Stay Thirsty my friend.
While he was talking to them, two pickups with big bales of marijuana in the back drove by (no, I'm not kidding), so his interaction with them ended with a quick warning to get new tags as he headed off after the two trucks.
The lake is 3 miles wide at it’s widest. No need for a sub. Just fast boats & jet skis.
Wasn’t he wearing a life jacket? If so, then where is his body? It would float!
I can say that because I have a (mostly) functioning brain, and Michelle doesn’t!
Excellent point. They need to drag that lake. Anyone know how geep it is?
Do we know anything about the eyewitnesses? Our side of the lake or their side of the lake?
I don’t think the gun thing would be too difficult.
Did they rent the jetskis? IOW, did the rental people see both a man and a woman? If not, she could have killed him elsewhere. To my knowledge, they have not found a body. And, as another Freeper just pointed out, no one knows where his jetski is either.
Just thinking aloud here. I’m not saying her story is not right ... just that there are possible other scenarios. :)
Southern Mexico is very nice and used to be safe. Not any more.
Wow, that’s an interesting theory ...
I don’t know how it’s happening so often and I have missed it but I have not seeing anything outside of the normal crap that goes on in Mexico. I am not doubting all these stories of shoot outs etc. just not sure how I keep missing it since I have frequented Mexico since I was a kid.
It probably was not arranged. When the cartels want to send a message to the authorities to stay away, they post heads.

The wife said he was wearing a life jacket. According to her when she got to him he was face down in the water and she flipped him over and found he was shot dead in the middle of the forehead. Problems with her story: 1) life jackets are designed to flip someone face up, 2) how did he get shot in the middle of his forehead if he was jet skiing away? 3) that's some incredible shooting skill, hitting a moving target in the head from a moving boat.
The body is either at the bottom of the lake, in the possession of the cartel, or disposed of in Mexico where the cartel usually puts their bodies. It will never be found. This is not a reason to doubt his widow.
If you did want to kill your husband, this is one way that you’d ensure that it was thoroughly investigated and gain national headlines...a perfectly awful way to do it if you were of a mind to try and get away with it.
...and there is a witness that backs up the wife’s story.
...unless of course you’re putting on the tinfoil hat and accusing his widow of contracting with a Mexican drug cartel to off her husband and that this was a setup.
The witness doesn’t really back up her story. nobody saw or heard gunshots and the witness just saw her riding frantically like she was trying to get away from someone.
It seems so far like if you wanted to get rid of your husband this would be the perfect way to do it since if people on this site are indicative if you say anything about mexicans and it’s bad it must be true.
“Where would a bikini-clad lady hide an automatic weaponwouldnt her husband notice something like that?”
Maybe she had it in a bag with the water bottles.
Did they do a gunshot residue test on her?
The police have pointed out her husband wore a vest and that his body should have floated. Yes, I know other things could have happened to the body anyway.
We apparently know nothing about the witness except that they were on the Mexican side of the lake.
I am not accusing anyone of anything ... and I haven’t even been following the case that much until now.
People concoct all sorts of elaborate ways to kill spouses. Some get away with it, some don’t. But it’s fair to knock around theories.
What evidence? They have no evidence.
The lady just said in that article that she has been getting updates from the Mexican authorities pretty much dailing. So for doing nothing and accusing her she sure seems to have a different story. So do you believe her now or then? Which one do you want to believe.
So what the investigator was beheaded, oh I forgot he’s the first this has happened to in Mexico. LOL!
I’m not vilifying the people on this board, just the ones who are so willing to jump up and blame anything mexican with just about no information. Please try to keep up.
This is what US police have said..why would they lie?
AGAIN...the Mexican authorities came out the NEXT MORNING and said they would not investigate or search because they did not believe her story on the news....after days of pressure from the press, TX Gov authorities, and the victims families...Mexico relented.
THEN...the investigator in Mexico was beheaded on Tues....so the investigation stopped....and after complaints again from the victim's family and TX LE the Mexican authorities have agreed to hear her story and do the proper paperwork in the US, and not in Mexico where the Sheriff told her NOT to go, (he just explained this on Fox).
Nobody is jumping on Mexicans because we are racists...every thread I have seen consists of info from the police, that is what most are going on.
To the contrary, most who don't want to believe the “gringo” are making up wild wife killed husband stories from TV. Which is fun and harmless until you start calling those who discuss the only known facts and evidence.... racists.
I am sure the TX police will let us know when and if they find something suspicious.
