When I read in the news this weekend not only that Barack Obama has asked Joe Biden to be his running mate in 2012 but that that he considers his original selection of Biden as his running mate back in 2008 as “the single best decision I have made,” I was taken aback.
After all, in Washington, Biden is a bit of a joke.

On the GOP ticket right now there is woman considered running (Palin), newt Gingrich a washed up hasbeen politician. Mitt Romney a religious minority (Mormon)and a preacher Mike Huckabee. There will be another affirmative action election. Gee whiz I am looking forward to finding out whom is the most qualified of the most unqualified whom are running.

Obama is “doubling down,” as so many pundits and news watchers expected. I certainly did. He won’t change or move to the center. No way. He won’t put Hillary on the ticket. And this is a sign that he won’t leave the race for the “good of the party,” no matter what. Now it’s Hillary’s move. I don’t think she’ll challenge him now. Bush 43’s cabinet was full people who had tons of practical experience and quite a few of them were demonstrably smarter - a sign of a very secure person.
