Lawyer Won’t Say Who Connected Her To Whitman Housekeeper (Gloria Allred)

Republican Meg Whitman’s former maid said Tuesday she’s not a Democratic pawn in California’s race for governor, but her attorney refused again to provide key details about her claims that Whitman employed her for nearly a decade despite knowing she was in the U.S. illegally.

Nicky Diaz Santillan, a Mexican who Whitman says used a fraudulently obtained Social Security card and California driver’s license, dismissed claims by the GOP nominee that she was part of a Democratic smear intended to damage Whitman’s standing with voters, particularly Latinos.

“I make my own decisions and I am not anyone’s puppet,” Diaz Santillan said in a prepared statement she read at the Los Angeles office of her attorney, Gloria Allred. “Nobody made me do it.”

Allred, who has longtime Democratic ties and donated money to Brown when he ran for attorney general , has yet to disclose details about how she became involved in the case or disclose who, if anyone, is picking up the bill for her legal work.

Allred says Diaz Santillan was referred to her by another lawyer, whom she will not name. Allred didn’t answer directly when asked if that lawyer had ties to Whitman’s opponent, Democrat Jerry Brown, or his Democratic allies.

Allred also sidestepped a question about whether she had any contact with labor unions working to get Brown elected.

There needs to be an investigation into this whole mess. The 23 dollar an hour “maid” should be deported.

Attorney-Client. I’m not sure she’s permitted to disclose any information her Client wants hidden.

her claims that Whitman employed her for nearly a decade despite knowing she was in the U.S. illegally.

No one is claiming that as I understand it. The only complaint on the board is that Whitman didn't pay mileage for some family trips she maid.

Any other allegation is unspoken and cleverly left your your imagination and big medias distortions.

I actually think this will backfire on the Democrats at the polls.

This year people are in a serious mood and really want to talk about issues. So what do the Democrats do? Pull a political stunt. “Calif. is falling apart, so vote for the Dem, becasuse the GOP candidate was mean to their housekeeper.” Games—nothing more than playing games.

I was ready to crawl over broken glass to vote. Now I’m ready to crawl over molten glass to vote.

So, if the maid was not a political pawn, as she claims, why are we even hearing about this?
Send her back. I’ll pay for the transportation cost.
The Dims know they are in the fight of their political lives.
They will do anything to make sure they remain in power long enough to complete the destruction of this country.

Allred says Diaz Santillan was referred to her by another lawyer, whom she will not name.

Allred disclosed the other lawyer's name over two days ago on the Mark Levin radio show.

Allred makes no claim that Whitman did anything wrong but plants the meme anyway and big media plays along. This is a dirty as it gets.

And shows if they can’t dig up dirt they will invent it.

she’s not a Democratic pawn

There they go, lying by omission again, she’s a criminal Democratic pawn.

They keep leaving that word "criminal" out that should always be used immediately preceding the word "Democrat".

The only complaint on the board is that Whitman didn't pay mileage for some family trips she maid.

So. If it was not stated in the agreement for employment with Meg, then there is no responsibility for mileage.

No mattter who got her involved, - or was it her own idea? - Gloria Alred has declared her allegiances at last!
Who is paying for her time and effort to disrail Whitman’s campaign?
