Well one thing good, the Rat who will win because of the Rat Gerrymandered 2 district is more crooked than William Jefferson (Democrat Louisiana) and he will wind up in the joint within a few years.
No good will ever come out of the 2nd district in Louisiana....period!

You trusted Obama? You lose.
To: Nachum
Well, I've been more forgiving of Joseph Cao than most. His ACU rating has been a measely 55, true. But in a district that hasn't been held by a Republican since '91 -
1891 - and is currently 64% African-American, I figure 'half a conservative' is about the best one can realistically expect unless there's a Cajun Reagan waiting in the 2nd District wings.
That said, Cao is incredibly naive if he expected Obama to support him. Why would he support a guy who voted against his administration on major items like Cap and Trade and "The Fairness Doctrine", when he knows the other guy will be a rubber stamp for whatever he wants?

Oh dear. He was born in 1967.
He’s very naive. He’s talking like a pre-teen.

Wow, I would have guessed that Cao had an ACU rating of about 25. That might be better than even Castle.

-"...he had hoped Obama would endorse him considering all he did for Democrats -- like being the only Republican to cast a floor vote for the health care overhaul." ... better put some ice on that, Joe!

“His ACU rating has been..55; ...a guy who voted against his administration on major items like Cap and Trade and “The Fairness Doctrine””
If we had 55% ACU ratings in black and other Democrat-majority districts - we’d OWN Congress and Pelosi would be POWERLESS - she would NEVER be able to put together a majority on ANY issue.
While I’m the first to agree that RINOs need to be sacked in states like Arizona and South Carolina (and my posting history proves it), it always amazes me the way we EAT OUR OWN in these cases where the alternative is an ACU of ZERO.
But I guess purity is more important than political victory.
And for the record, Cao made it CLEAR that he would not be the vote to put health care over the top. He FORCED Pelosi to sacrifice an additional Democrat to offset his unreliable vote. In other words, an extra DEMOCRAT, from a competitive district will likely lose his seat because of Cao - something that CLEARLY would not have happened with an ACU guy of zero representing that district.

Cao only won that district because “Cold Cash” Jefferson left his freezer unlocked. Cao can’t seriously think he’d win against another democratic opponent? If so he’s not learned much about the political landscape in Orleans Parish.
