Vulnerable House Dems declare their independence

LAS VEGAS – Rep. Dina Titus has been a loyal soldier in pushing the Democrats' ambitious agenda, voting for health care legislation, extended unemployment benefits, new energy taxes and a repeal of the military's ban on gays serving openly.

Her campaign signs, however, proclaim Titus an "independent voice" for Nevadans.

Aware that their stock has taken the same tumble as home values, Congress' most vulnerable Democrats are declaring their independence from their party's agenda in Facebook profiles, television advertisements, news interviews and campaign websites leading up to the Nov. 2 election. That's when Republicans hope to retake control of the House they lost four years ago.

November 2nd should henceforth be known as 'Obama Independence Day' .. maybe we can make it a National Federal Holiday. apparently 'vulnerable' Dems agree.

Kaine: No slight in Feingold skipping Obama rally
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100928/ap_on_el_se/us_democrats_kaine_1

WASHINGTON – Democratic Party Chairman Timothy Kaine says he sees no slight in Wisconsin Democratic Sen. Russ Feingold skipping a campaign rally tonight where President Barack Obama is appearing on his behalf.

Kaine tells CBS’s “The Early Show” that candidates “make their own decisions about these things.” And Kaine, a former Virginia governor, says Feingold understands that Obama can energize the party’s base.

Obama and Biden to student-age voters: Help!
http://news.yahoo.com/s/csm/328489
President Obama and Vice President Biden hit the student circuit on Tuesday, aiming to get that old 2008 campaign feeling back.

It probably won’t be easy. Mr. Obama will be at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and Mr. Biden will be at Penn State, in College Station, Pa., for rallies that only two years ago would have attracted thousands.

This year, Obama is not on the ballot, and Democrats are struggling to get their key demographic groups – young voters and minorities – as excited about voting in the Nov. 2 midterms as the Republicans are with theirs, an electorate that skews older, white, and male. A recent ABC/Washington Post Poll found that only 55 percent of 18- to 29-year-olds say they are “absolutely certain” to go to the polls this year, as opposed to 78 percent of 50- to 64-year-olds and 77 percent of those over age 65.

"The Democratic caucus is a big-tent caucus," Van Hollen said. "We don't have a purity or an ideological test the way the Republicans do."

Lies, lies and MORE LIES! The lies pour forth from these commies like water from a spigot.

So, what is that supposed to mean, exactly? Did AP ask the question, "How have you been independent, Rep. Titus? Please give examples of your independent voice." Of course not. It's like when some pol says "I take full responsibility." Yeah? So what? All words, just words! And the media simply sits with their collective thumbs up their collective orifices. I am so SICK of this kind of crap.

I see that kind of BS here in NE Ohio too.

It’s like media reports of a corrupt politician: You can tell he’s a Dem if they don’t mention his party.

Titus is my rep and it would be so great to finally rid NV politics of this parasite. She broke NV law by serving in the state legislature while also a UNLV professor. No biggie, there are lots of those here.

She is a consummate liberal in every one of her beliefs. There is nothing independent about her, she is collectivist and top down control to the extreme.

I will be doing what I can to see that Dr. Heck unseats her and maybe we can start to be rid of some of these politicians who have ruined a great, truly libertarian state like Nevada.

I personally implored Titus to vote no on Obamacare on numerous occasions. She voted in lockstep with Pelosi at virtually every opportunity. She is “owned” and managed by some powerful unions here in Las Vegas and “independent” is the last thing she is.

I just received an endorsement letter yesterday from the NRA complete with a bumper sticker for her opponent Dr. Joe Heck.

Please send a little jingle money to Joe if you can find it in your heart.

I must have been living in a fog because I sure as heck don’t remember BiteMe drawing “thousands” to any of his rallies.....who would want to subject themselves to that idiot?

Funny, watching TV the other night, on comes a very prominent dummocrat running for state office in Florida. In the entire ad, she states, I am your independent voice running for office to correct all the ills in this state.

I pointed out to my wife I guess she believes no one knows she is a dem and watching this ad one would never discern it either.

I believe it is a policy of dems this year to not only distance them selves from (o)bama, but from the party too.

Mr. Biden will be at Penn State, in College Station, Pa., for rallies “

Caller a few minutes ago to Ruch said that there are only a very few ‘older folks’ wai9ting in line to hear Biden.

Take a look at the way these democrats voted and then decide for yourself. Their talk does not match their voting records.
They talk a good game, but voted otherwise.
