First there was the Contract With America. Then came the Pledge to America.
The Heritage Foundation plans to issue its Solutions for America blueprint on Mondayjust after Republicans issued their Pledge to America, which outlined what theyll do if they win back power in the November elections.
Now is the time to be bold, and to act as befits our character, foundation President Edwin J. Feulner writes in a letter addressed to My fellow conservatives. That is what our parents and grandparents would expect of us, what future generations demand and what The Heritage Foundation offers to America.
Feulner tips his hat to the GOP plan, sort of, as a step in the right direction, according to the letter, which was provided to The Wall Street Journal. Some aspects in the Republican pledge - which actually came out first - mirror proposals we have in Solutions for America, he writes.
But, Feulner says, we want to be even bolder.

Being even bolder is great. However, it seems to me that The Contents had nothing to indicate that they are going for TERM LIMITS.

Could it be that the ones that make the laws won’t allow term limits?

Mostly very good stuff in here. Thanks for posting. But I do have to chuckle a bit when I read the sections titled "Re-embracing Federalism" and "Overcriminalization." Heritage
supports the continued criminalization of cannabis, and does not want the states to be able to experiment with legalization. Heritage, like too many on the right, has a blind spot when it comes to respect for liberty and federalism.

Is there anything in there about Government worker pensions?
How about them going on social security? How about slashing government spending by half? Laying off half of the work force, closing the dept.of education, what did we do before 1977 when it did not exist? we survived.

I love Heritage! Generally, I send them money, rather than actual candidates. This year has been a little different. But, I usually find myself pretty much in agreement.
Amnesty Will Make the Problem Worse...
Haven't time to do justice to the plan right now, but it doesn't seem to include a "pathway to citizenship"... but... there are a few paragraphs about workplace recommendations...
Thanks, 001, for posting this. Have a great day!

That or you're just a silly pothead. You say "pothead" like it's an insult. Why is that?
