yeah, I lived in CA when Loretta won that seat. She actually changed her last name to her maiden name so she could get the Hispanic vote. She was and is a real POS. f course Bob Dornan didn't help matters with some of the things he said and did.

The Van Tran for Congress campaign put out a press release late last week claiming that their Moby Dick, Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, blamed President Barack Obama for her dismal poll ratings in her appearance last week on Univisión's Al Punto program. If only! I suggest that they hire a better translator--where they claim she told host Jorge Ramos, "Well, of course he [Obama] is not helping me," she actually says the anti-Obama national environment isn't helping her. Key difference, Trannies, is that if Loretta wanted to specifically target Obama, she'd say, "Pues, por supuesto, el no me esta ayudando" (my emphasis) instead of, "Pues, por supuesto, no me esta ayudando"--you know, because definite articles are so important in Spanish grammar.

Besides, I'm shocked that the Trannies didn't jump on Loretta's race-baiting against Vietnamese voters in her disaster of an interview.

In the same answer, Sanchez tells Ramos in pocha Spanish that Democrats might not come out to vote, thereby sealing a comeback for the GOP. It's especially worrisome for her, she says, because "the Vietnamese and the Republicans are--with an intensity (emphasis hers)--trying to take away this seat, this seat that we [Democrats] have done so much for our community, take away this seat from us and give it to this Van Tran, who's very anti-immigrant and very anti-Latino."

I won't dispute Loretta's characterization of Tran, but seriously, Loretta: "Vietnamese" are trying to take your seat? Whither Phu Nguyen? Whither Bao Nguyen? Whither the Vietnamese you try to court by wearing ill-fitting ao dais at a Paris by Night production? GREAT sound bite to recruit more Viets for your campaign. ¡Tan pendeja que eres!

Oh, and saying your district "has always been a Republican district"? That'll come as news to the voters who have sent you back to Capitol Hill since, and to the Democratic politicians that have been able to carve out consistent victories over the past decade. Then again, any comment that might annoy Democratic Party of Orange County chair Frank Barbaro is a welcome comment by me!

“Anti-immigrant” means opposing the steady stream of poverty stricken Mexicans flooding our states illegally.

There’s a large Hispanic and Asian American population in OC and you’re dead on the money in saying it could start a turf war.

A new wrinkle on the Dem get out the vote strategy. Get the Latinos mad and get them out to the polls. They always need a hate object. This time they could blame whites so they had to turn their anger against the Asians. I wonder what goes among the Latinos? I guess they are living close to the Asians. Is this jealousy? Do they feel jealous of another immigrant group that has a positive attitude and is advancing as a consequence of those positive values?
